Leave a CommentI too received a call form someone stating they wanted me to get involved with some kind of gas rewards. The lady must have taken a long breath before she called, because she would not shut up. I completely blanked out her talk when she stated she had the last four digits of my credit card. I asked her to listen to me for a moment, asked her name, and the company she worked for. She did tell me her name and Vista, or Vesta was the company.I called my credit card company and they tracked "Vista" through a purchase I made for long distance minutes on my regular phone. I have used this calling card for years, but will go back to letting AT&T add a long distance fee to my phone bill. I do not have caller I.D., and very rarely use my cell phone. I did call the number on the back of my calling card----all automated. I called AT&T and they stated they do not even have people who use a calling card anymore, and there was nothing they could do, and had never heard of Vista. I will do all I can from my end to help stop this! I did tell her I wanted nothing to do with her offer!
I suggest when you get a call answer it right away say "put me on your DO NOT CALL list (DNC)" and **** up. Once you say that by law they have to put you on the list. It will stop the calls right away!
got the same call but they said the rebate speil and then proceeded to try to convince me to buy a $250 discount club, that was a far as he got because I immediately ***g up. seems like a total scam.
Got two calls today from two different #s, but didn't answer them. Got home and found out they are in Michigan and I paid $5 to Intelius to find out WHO! Got the name Vista Marketing. Was reading all the complaints about them when, lo and behold, they call A***N! I answered it and they s****ed with the spiel about $120 gas cards that I won! Told them, "Don't want them, don't send them!! Don't use my card # (it's a pre-paid Debit card!! not regular credit card!! LOL) and don't EVER call me a***n!!! If I get more, I'm going to royally cuss them out, then call the BBB!
Getting calls from 877-213-8503 all hours of the day including calls in the early morning hours. They report to have important do***ents and a one time opportunity.
got 5 calls from 231-732-2738 in the last two days. The guy thatcalled was very agressive and said they would send me out a $120. gas rebate and all I had to do was look at my mail and that I woulod be charges 29.95/ month or 28.95 month for some kind of buying service that would offer hugh discounts. I told them no and they they got rude so I ask to speak to his boss and I replied I was not interested in their offer and di not wish to receive their mailer. These people ar boiler room types and I will not take any calls from a 231 area code.
I received a call like this today. Really upsetting they can so easily obtain information. I told the individual the numbers were not ours. I immediately called my bank after I ***g up and cancelled that card.
Called twice this morning. ***g up before I reached the phone. Called a***n this afternoon. Woman told me she was with Vista Marketing and was calling to confirm an order. Long story short, I did not confirm any order or confirm number. I ***g up and immediately called my bank and cancelled the card. This really ****es me off. I wish I knew who sold our information.
Same caller used a different number 2 weeks ago. Gives the last 4 digits of my card and uses my name. Today I got nasty and she told me that online companies "share" aka sell these numbers. If I knew which on, I'd never buy a***n from them., and she said you must have agreed to it when you checked a box. I cam calling all of those I ordered from and ask them. But I am on the do not call list, so how can they ignore it. They do say they are confirming an order. I said what did I order, I don't ma'm, I am at the warehouse. It's a scam to get the rest of your info and send you so****ing. I am reporting to the FCC....a***n.
These people have been calling multiple times each day. I answered yes****ay and listened to part of the spiel, but stopped the guy telling him that gas rebates are a rip off and I did not want to be charged shipping and handling for anything. He ***g up on me. Today they called a***n. I told the guy this time that someone had already called me yes****ay and that I did not want the gas rebate. They said that they would send it anyways and that is was a "gas card" not a rebate. He said they just call it a rebate and that it is so****ing different. He then wanted to transfer me to someone else to confirm that I would allow them to send me the package. The second guy got very angry when I said he was talking too fast and told him I wanted the cancellation number right away. After this phone call, I checked online to see if this was a scam and found this board. I then checked my credit cards and found that the one they were using the last 4 digits of was one I cancelled nearly a year ago. And they had tried to tell me that I was receiving the gas rebate for a recent purchase made with this card. So it is definitely a scam.
I recived a call from 2317322738 Sying I used my Visa card and now will recieve $120 in gas rebate coupons, they had my name address, phone #, and the last 4 digits of my credit card number. They claim to be a company Caleed Vista Services you will here things like Smart shopper & Discount Travel, wanting to send you coupons in the mail and want premission to charge your card a small fee of $2 and some c****e for these coupons IT'S A SCAM, once you give them premission they can charge whatever they want to your card, but by the time they cal you they already have your info. I had to cancel my card and get a new one issued. An hour after my call they called my son who lives with me with the same spill and all his info. If you try calling the phone # back You will reach someone else. I got a medical center in Pittsburgh, Pa..BEWARE OF SCAMS
This is the same exact thing that happened to me... I don't know what it is, but they call all the time! Some right after each other.
Just got a call from this number 231-732-2737 on my cell phone, but I did not answer. Thanks everyone for posting your comments. I know now not to answer.
These guys are frequent flyers. We get unwanted calls almost exclusively on our land line (We keep our cell phones off), but these guys take the prize. According to Caller ID, they've called 6 times so far today (once yes****ay for the first time). Of course there's no message. It's a sneak attack. Honest callers leave a message. We do not pick up, if only because we could be placed on a list of those likely to pick up and at what time. We'd never press ANY ****ons to "get off the calling list" (We've been in the Do Not Call Registry). The ****ons could open your line to their use. It also best not to invite or engage in any conversation so they cannot misconstrue anything you say.
This number has called me twice today--1st at 5:32pm. and a***n at 8:48pm. No message was left either time. I called the number after the first missed call and the phone didn't even ring. It went straight to a 'voicemail' which almost seems to be a live person. It says "you have reached the order confirmation dept. We are trying to reach you to confirm your recent order. If we are unable to reach you it will not affect the shipment of your order. This is just a courteousy call.-----------The message is different a little bit each time you call back. This whole thing's a crock of s**t. I don't give my number out so I don't know how they got it.
I have been getting these calls too, call your state's attorney generals office and let them know, they are the ones who handle scams. Help yourselves and others in the future by reporting these people!!!! And tell everyone you know NOT to give out any info!!!!!!
caller said, that he was calling from Vista, and that since I was such a good customer. I would receive $130.00 for gas and that I could expect it in the mail within the next 5 to 7 days. That is when I ***g up and called to cancel my credit card.
I received a phone call from this number claiming to be a service called Vista Services (which I misunderstand and****umed they said Visa) offering me $125 in gas rebates and 60% off at stores such as Target, Wal-Mart, and Chili's for being a preferred customer by another company. Like everyone else, they had my address, my name, and the last four digits of my Visa debit card. Very scary. Please reject these phone call.
someone suggested getting a phone with call block. I did and it works perfect. The phone rings one time and they are gone. Worth the money especially if you need a new phone.
they call constantly & my wife answered and they wanted to know if she was a user on my cc and she said no and they ***g up, but called back later...we now will not pick up these calls.
I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST and these bugers call 6 times a day! what a pain...s****ing @ 9am and going to 9pm! UGH !! I have never answered.
I keep receiving calls from this number as well; I don't pick up, they don't leave a voicemail. From reading other boards, it looks to be some sort of scam where the caller will try to 'confirm' your credit card number, with the promise of a voucher for gas. Do not give your card number out!! I wish there were a way to block these numbers. I'm on the national 'do not call' list for cell phones, so this must result from my giving my number out`, unfortunately.
I received a call from this number after I filled out an online form for a free trial for the ACAI Berry product. I did not complete the form because the "so called free trial" required a credit card number and they would automatically debit my card if I did not call to terminate the service after the free trial period. I closed out the online form but apparently they still retained my contact info. Consumers BEWARE I would never allow a company to debit my card for a free trial. I have heard too many horror stories how difficult it is to get rid of these companies once they have your credit card info. In addition, if the product is as good as they claim it to be they shouldn't have to resort to these type of tactics.
they are telemarketers put your phone # on the do not call list and they will stop calling after awhile I was told it takes about 30 days you can also put your cell phone on the list,go to www.donotcall.gov or call 1-888-382-1222 toll free you must call from the # you want them to stop calling.
Received several phone calls from this phone number. They do not leave a voicemail. Don't want to call them back. Not a good sign . . .
No caller ID, called 10/29 or 10/30.
I have been getting several calls from this number...Yes****ay, I decided to call them back and got this voicemail that did not state a company, but that were just calling to confirm an order...WHAT ORDER! When the prompt came to leave them a time for me to call me back, I left a message that they will never forget! As a matter of fact, I left 3 messages and let them know that I did not order anything and they better not bill my account for any thing and to stop calling me...Is there someone that would take a case for people who have to deal with folks who are trying to get information from them? Who is the real culprit giving out my number? Is there anyway to find them so that we could harass them with a lawsuit? I bet they would leave people alone then!
I read that these people claim to have your cc# but all I think they have is the last 4 digits. They are phishing for more info. They have also called me on 402-982-0778 and 517-933-2015. I have never picked up the phone, so it's almost as if they can somehow c****e the number that comes up on Caller ID. I don't know how they do this, but they should be stopped. They will probably keep calling until the phone is answered.
*********************Someone Please Stop These People!************************DO NOT ANSWER THIS NUMBER ITS 100% A SCAM! Do Not Answer These Calls! Secure All Your Information!***********************Someone PLease Stop These People!**********************
Got 2 calls after hours from same number. Called them back and left my cell number on their answering ma****e with "best time to reach me". They must have some automated system that dials random cell numbers, but if you call them back they know it's a real number. I found your website by googling their phone number. Wish I'd done it earlier. Will certainly put them on my block list. Scary that they seem to have your credit card info too.
Called me twice within an hour and never left a message. I make a special effort not answer my phone unless I know who is calling. As someone else posted if it is important they will leave a message on your voice mail.
I got a call from 231-732-2737 today. I didn't answer but called it back and got a voice recorder not identifying who they were with but that they wanted to confirm an order. I have not ordered anything, and never got a live person after trying different prompts. I called my cell phone company to make sure I didn't have any additional charges on my phone but will be going to the do not reply to put my cell number on the list.
I just received a phone call from these people. They told the call was in reference to my debit card number ending in **** - and that he wanted to send me a free 100 dollar gift card that I could use for gas, auto expenses, Walmart, Target, and Home Depot. I asked what company the guy was calling from, and he gave me a ***ue answer, danced around the subject, and wouldn't say a specific company. It was very sketchy. He kept on trying to confirm my address and asking me if those last four digits of my debit card were correct. I wouldn't say yes or no. Then, he told me he was going to connect me to the mailing department so that they could update my contact info. I kept on telling the new guy that I had no interest in their free reward and to remove me from their database. He gave me a lot of pushback, asking me why and would not giving up. While this guy kept on talking, I quickly googled the phone number and all of this scam information popped up. So, I said one last time, "please remove all of my information and do not send me anything." And ***g up. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY INFORMATION.
I got a call from the same number. He also knew the last 4 digits of my credit card (my real card). Then he wanted to confirm my name & address which he also knew! The only hing he didn't have was my Social Security Number & he asked for it! When I asked why it was necessary he said it was "Company Policy" I asked what company? He gave some BS name.So it's a 2-in-1 scam. 1) They're trying to sign you up for a program (without telling you they are doing it!) So after 30 days if you haven't canceled you'll need to pay $60/month WITH a penalty fee for early termination! Who knows what else they'll charge to your card! 2) They are also phishing for SSN's if they get that....you're in REAL trouble!
I just got another call except it was from 402-982-0767. They told me that I had recently ordered so****ing using my Visa and they gave the last 4 digits of my visa and said that I would be receiving a gas card in the mail. I asked who they were and she said Vista Services. I asked for the address and she said she doesn't have their address. I said, "you work for them don't you?" she said yes. and I said, "and you don't know their address" then she held the phone away and I could still hear her and she yelled to someone about an address and said that "she wants an address" she came back and told me that they don't have an address for them. They (her) call the numbers this place gives them and then they (her) call the place back with the information they get. I told them to remove me and my information from the list. She said it was removed, but who really knows.Sounds mighty su****ious to me.
got a missed call from this number, when i called them back it was a recording saying that my order was being shipped? what order? i didnt order anything!
Yes! AT&T has so****ing new to me, where for a few bux extra a month so I can block this stuff! (Parental controls) Was able to add their number to blocked list! Check it out if you have AT&T service.
I've received calls from this number several times in the past two weeks, leaving no message. It asks for you to enter your number on either #2 or 3 - then.. it will give you another non working number to call to speak to a rep about the problem. That is a non working number too. Within the past ten min, a foreign female called and finally got thru to me. She said same thing you all said above, and cited the last four digits of my card number. Being P**sed about the invasion and usage of my CC #'s.I s****ed questioning the female caller with an accent - and viola! She ***g up on me.I went to my cell phone provider and paid to have the call block put on the phone and am in process of speaking to a bank rep about securing my card info. You might also go to the government do not call website and add your number.https://www.donotcall.gov/register/reg.aspx
I just got the same call on my cell phone from 231-732-2737. When I answered they ***g up so I called back and it was an answering ma****e that was very ***ue and never stated who they were, just that they were trying to contact me in regard to my order. I have not ordered anything...I hope they are caught soon.
Received a call from 231-732-2737 saying I had gas rebate for $120 for using my VISA. Knew my first name, but you could tell with the noise in the background they are working in a call center or "boiler" room. DO NOT give them any information!
HELP! i JUST GOT THE SAME CALL!!! SOME ONE PLEASE report this!!!! help HE SAID THE SAME EXACT THING AS LISTED ABOVE AND I AM IN THE EAST COAST fl AREA
I have too received a call from this number regarding a visa credit card, he told me the last 4 numbers but didn't match any of my CC, the guy says I'll get a gift gas card of $120.00 and tried to get some personal info, I said if he was from the company he siad he was supposed to have already my info and I will not share it over the phone, he just ****ed up before I finished talking, BEWARE BEWARE, this is a scammer trying to get info from you probably to struck your real Credit card!!
My roommate is an international student and this number called her and tried to tell her that she had bought gas and they were confirming a rebate. She's been here about two months and doesn't have a car and has never bought gas before. They confused her trying to tell her it must be a boyfriend or such that used her card. Unfortunately I wasn't at home but when I tried to call them back because they -verified- her credit card number, as in they already had it and were making sure her name and address were correct, I got an answering ma****e that didn't even tell me the name of the company only that they were open from 10 am est to 5 pm est. this was just before 9 pm pst that this occurred. Needless to say I'm going to be spending tomorrow morning trying to get a hold of them and have the charges for "postage" of her refund (that she repeatedly told them she didn't want and didn't know what they were talking about) removed since they told her it would enter her into a monthly program as well.
Just got a call and no message from this number... i never get spam calls so that was unusual... no message... very su****ious... so i did a google search to see if it was a business and this was all I found... weird...
I have been getting several calls from several different out state numbers, but this one just s****ed calling today! I never answer the calls and they never leave a voicemail and I'm not about to s**** answering them so they can charge me an outrageous amount on my phone bill. My suggestion to anyone who is getting calls from numbers they don't recognize is to just ignore it and don't answer it. If it is an important call they will leave you a voicemail.
