They keep calling my house and when i pick up no one is there..

KH recent articles at better business bureau, scam busters dot org and the fiscal times dot com state that there are a couple of new SCAMS floating around. The first scam uses (s****s) the phone numbers of regular people, including phone numbers of small businesses. The scammers hope to trick the householder into picking up the phone, knowing that they will not find these regular Joe phone numbers in the lists of s****ed numbers avail online. That would explain why we and many other people have been getting calls from florists, small family business in tampa, child day care centers and even 86 yr old woman living in a mobile home park in haines city, FL. The other scam is to use (s****) the householder's own phone number.....hoping that the householder will be so shocked and or curious to see their own phone number appearing in the caller ID, that they will pick up. The BBB warns a***nst doing this. If you miss the call, BBB advises not to call back "your" number. And always - do not get give out any financial or personal identifying information about yourself.

Mary I just received a call and told him that he is harassing me and not to call a***n. I too am on the Do Not call list. They ignore my requests as this is the fourth call in a week.

Caller ID reads Lehigh Acres FL,a guy call Jeff, asking for my boss by name,when inq, name of the company he answered: Courtesy Health Neighbor .... he insisted on talking to my boss, and I insisted on asking in reference to and when advised to take us off of his list he pretend he didn't understand.... Poor Jeff, he doesn't know that I've been there & done that!Called back and an automated system answer and identified themself as  information line for " Children Leukemia research****ociation inc." and basically they're calling to request donation,however, if everybody there is like Jeff, I don't think they'll get much.Their number is: 800-379-8804
