Have no idea who this is as I do not answer the phone

Yes, it is Ca***a Revenue Agency at Shawinigan data centre in Quebec calling me to correct mathematical errors on the T4 slips and T4  summaries issued to my employees last year 2010.After the discussion, a tax credit was issued to my source deduction account for this year 2011 because of my wrong calculation (probably I looked up the wrong line on  the source deducation table).Not a scam.     I actually got a tax refund from the Government !!!!Blame the complexity of our tax system.    But, it can happen the other way round, ie, CRA can ask for more money.

I received a call from 250-492-7995 asking me to call them back. I called back and only got a busy signal. I live in Alberta -Why would the Surrey Tax Office be calling me???!!!!

This is a Ca***a Revenue Agency number for Surrey Tax Office but is a dial out numberonly for a collection agent.  You must hold on for a few moments for someone to come on the line.

I received a call from this number today, also.  I'm guessing it's because I've got a Vancouver number.  However, that being said, they know I don't live there anymore...so I'm curious why I'd be getting a call from their Penticton office.It seems from the message on that number that most of the calls out of it are for revenue collection (i.e. GST/HST), or business inquiries.

I just got the same phone call from this number as well.  Nice lady claiming to be with CRA but would like first to confirm my personal information.  The first question out of her mouth was "what is your SIN?"... VERY Bizzar..So I told her I don't give that number to anyone and to call me back in 10 min as I was driving in my car,,,, it has now been 20 min and nothing....

I saw "private" on Caller ID.

I have doubts about this one. 1) They called my home and asked to give a call back. They didn't say the reason at all (i.e. your request for =enter name h ere= is ready). And here's the thing, no one at my home contacted them for any requests, at all. Don't they usually let you know what it is for? 2) I searched the website and I didn't find this phone number. I found local numbers and 800 numbers. None of them ended in '9585'3) The results I get when I search for this number are just telemarketing related. How come that's the only thing that shows up?4) Don't they say you shouldn't give out your SIN number? Maybe this is part of what they do to meet with the requests, but I don't know.Has anyone actually called them back and spoke to them? I might have to call a local number and ask if that number is legit. Why would it show "Private" if its a government company? Just like Immigration and even banks show their ID.

They shouldn't have asked you to leave your SIN though. That's a***nst their rules. It was Revenue Ca***a though. Not a scam.

pretending to be revenue ca***a and asked me to call them back, the answearing ma****e asked my to leave name number and sin number to acsess my file..of course i didnt give my sin.
