Leave a CommentYeah I got the same call at like 2am a couple days ago on my cell... suspect to begin with, but since I'd used my card early that evening thought it might be possible... but robots don't call at 2am and my bank to my knowledge doesn't have my cell number. Anyway Pressed 1 for operator out of curiosity to see what the BS pitch might be but when I heard enter 16 digit card number I knew for sure100% it was a bu***hit phishing like scam and just ***g up.
Called pretending to be a bank
I received a message on my cell phone at 11:37 pm last night from "Bio" so****ing I could not understand regarding my "account". Never heard of the company and have no acct., but DO resent being called at that hour of night!!

I received a call from this same number saying the same thing.. I looked it up. The phone number popped up a site, "BioRad' etc.. I sent THEM an email saying their number was being used in a scam.
I just received a call from this number. I was immidiately su****ious of the electronic computerized voiceover telling me that there was fraudulant activity on my Visa. The automataed message did not state which Visa or company they were affiliated with. This is DEFINETELY A FRAUD. No reputable company would handle fraudulant activity in this manner by making you enter your full credit card information or blatantly giving out your full name and / or social security number. A reputable bank or financial ins***ution would identify themselves first by giving their name, their company, and stating clearly why they are calling and NOT asking for full account information over the phone. Do not ever give out information in this manner; and if in doubt, simply **** up and let the Better Bussines Bureau know this has happened to you.
called on a Sunday, no message left.
I too got a phone call this evening (Sunday evening, really?) It was a recording saying that my account had been frozen bc of fraudulent charges and to press one to be transferred to the security dept. I just ***g up bc it sounded like a scam and then when I googled the number this popped up..what a bunch of jack***es. Some nerve that people have!I have always been told that you should never give anyone that calls you from an unrecognizable number any of your personal information, like your entire social security number or your card number over the phone, especially to a company that would already have all that information and shouldn't be asking you for it.
I have received a call from this number. I****ume companies are taking advantage of the cel phone numbers being free game now.
I too received a call from this number automated message saying my account had been frozen. Then it asked me to enter my 16 digit card number and exp date to reactivate. I didn't do it!
Got a call on my cell phone requesting information, that my debit card had been suspended. The company was Southern ..... but couldn't make it out. Will pay more attention when they try me a***n.It's clearly a scam.
I answered and got an automated message saying my account had been frozen. Then it asked me to enter my 16 digit card number to reactivate. I'm not an idiot. I just left the call open so these scammers at least had to pay for the long distance call.
