said they had an important alert/ update about a package and provided a tracking number but I never ordered anything and it's not even a legit tracking number.

This is a scammer somehow. I got a text from this number stating it was my first wife’s phone number who lives in New Mexico, not Kentucky. Then, having not taken the time to run the number I responded with several rapid text. None of which were returned. Not sure the game, but it sure isn’t.t legit.
