This is not the Police or Fire Department or the "State Police" or Fire Department or Cancer Charity or a kids wish group calling you for donations. It is a professional fundraiser calling on behalf of a charity or****ociation. The Paid fundraiser can take as much as 99% of your donation. Then they use that 99% to call you a***n and a***n and a***n for more donations that will do no good for your Police Department, Fire Department, Cancer Charity or wish program or anyone else for that matter. Your best bet is to **** up the phone and if you want to give to the police or other charity then call your local police department by getting their number out of the phone book. you people watch too much dateline nbc. Look up the fraternal order of police in the phone book. The number is 782-6513. Shawn Helbig is the president. Also they never ask for a, credit card on the phone they will always pick up your money in person. So before telling people so****ing is a scam do a little homework.

don't give these clowns anything. w***ver you spoke to at the police station was wrong. a close relative of mine is a police officer and he said they get frequent complaints about these telemarketers and they are NOT affiliated with BGPD.

Supposedly this is Fraternal Order of Police in Bowling Green, KY.  They faxed me a letter for donations.  Signature to the president does not look legit.  Tried to call and they don't even answer as the Fraternal Order of Police.  I asked who this was and that I needed to speak to Sgt. Shawn Helbig, the guy that answered was actually going to give me his cell phone number.  Supposedly another man walked in the room and he said Oh hear is Sgt. Bob Engler, let me let you speak to him.  I ***g up.  No way this can be legit!  They are wanting between $100 and 1000 donations.  Do not give them your credit card info.
