Man said he was from the Santa Cruz Sheriff’s Department and needed to verify my iden***y before discussing the matter about which he was calling. When I said “what’s up, what’s going on? I’m in a hurry” caller ***g up the phone. I called the number back and it went to a voicemail claiming to be an officer from a different Sheriff’s department.

Sent text message. Scam.

Asked me to send a verification code and then they would put money in my account to help with financial hardships.

This person was s a Romance scammer she calls herself “ Catherine Carthie Smith DOB 4/4/1987, and she says she’s an LVN that worked for UNICEF in Miami, FL... beware she’s very persuasive and will not disclose anything about her life or past, says her parents were ****ed in a car accident when she was very young. Also she says she lives with her friend Sophia who also goes by Esther Smith. *****Be careful**** I was scammed out of $3340...always tells w***ver she’s says she’s dating that she requires financial support while dating her...She says she’s a ******* and apparently likes much older women because of easy pray...
