You could not have put it more eloquently, Steve. When I see some of these unknown numbers, I give it straight to my nieces (between 1-2 years old), who then speak a better language than these a**holes and their bullsh*t. Gibberish. Rather than get upset, it makes my day.
In response to The TruthCouldn't agree more. You are however complete a**holes for using predictive dialling ma****es and placing those dead air ****e calls when an agent/a**hole is not available to handle the call. And you are a**holes for calling numbers at random and****uming your time is more valuable than those you are calling and for calling numbers that have not specifically indicated that your are allowed to call them.As well you are a**holes as your caller id should identify the company you are calling from instead of saying "UNKNOWN CALLER".By the way, did I mention that you are a bunch of a**holes ?You mention that cold calling is actually a common practice in financial planning industry. Well ******ing children is a common practice in the catholic church but guess what, just because other people do it doesn't make it right. But if you understood that you wouldn't be the a**hole making cold calls would you ?
Received same message. Based on conversation, the caller could not give his proper address. Why any financial compnay would cold call, with excess phone fraud is beyond me. (The caller fumbled excessively when I asked excessive questions)
Called, to invite to a financial seminar etc.. Based on conversation, he is a scam artist. Be aware. Caller could not give proper address, and fumbled excessively. With phone fraud, why would any financial company cold call ???
In response to M H. I happen to work for Manulife Securities Inc. and I am one of the individuals that makes calls from that number. It is not a scam. Cold calling is actually a common practice in financial planning industry. I can****ure you that if you had come in for a consultation with any of the advisors at this ***nch you would not have made this post.
Received call said he was from Manulife Securities and wanted to discuss his portfolio. Individual is a scam artist.
I had the same call as GR -- a lman persuading me to go to a 'consultation' with someone from Manulife Financial.
A fellow from Maulife Financial called to invite me to a seminar being held be a financial planner and to offer a second opinion on my portfolio...
Called looking for my ***her. Refused to leave a message.
