Leave a CommentGot the same call tonight with the same story. callerID was 000-000-0000.Same 5 prizes :)****5 Hwy 7 unit 6I asked for their call back number and they gave me 905-754-5163, Ext 110 Luis AlvarezI asked them to give me my Home address and they have it too.
They called me 3 days, usually at 8am. I set an appointment 2 times, did not show up as all that seems is a spam. Or the next PrimeAmerica or so.
I called 905 754 5163 - one of the numbers stated in a previous message above - actually got through to it...tolld the guy wanted my number off the list - he said "OK, I will ban you for life!" lol - what fools! some fraudulent company!
Has anyone been to the address to see what is actually there? I kept asking the guy what's in it for you? Why would a company want to just GIVE AWAY prizes to so many people?? He say because they are trying to promote this new furnoture company...so when they show they can offer all these prizes people will share the company name - BULL S**T!
I got the same call. They will be calling me back tomorrow at 8am as I wasnt able to think through properly when they called. I was so foolish not to see through this scam. But tomorrow, I will tell them that if they ever call me a***n, I will call the police. The initial caller has a heavy indian accent (I have to request her to repeat everything she said) - e.g., I was one of the 40 lucky winner of 5 prizes to select from *******ure set, $1500 cash, 17 inch laptop, LCD, and 3days/2nights accomodation in 25 destinations). When I said I was skeptical, she said, this is no sales gim****, I am basically, a winner. So I ended up giving my full name and then, comes, the requirement that you need to come with your partner. I was really very agitated at this point. I said why? Anyways, they were persistent and I didnt want to be rude esp just after new year's day (Jan 2 2011) so I gave my relatives name too. After this conversation, I was passed to her senior manager (name is Connor) and identified himself from Premium Discount Corporation. They wanted me to book an appointment and was giving me specific time that I could claim the prize, Tues/Wed at 6pm or 8pm on****5 Highway 7 Unit 6 Woodbridge Ontario. I couldnt get hold of my relative so I was unable to book an appointment, good call. He then wanted to get another telephone number I could be reached at. Told them, this is my only number. Good call.
It's a scam. I got the same call, then called them back later to try to get more info, and they "could not" put me through to the same person I had originally spoken with.......Sean Riccardo. Though it sounds legit because they give you a number to call them back, and even provide a date that you filled out the ballot, don't even waste your time listening to them.
My wife got a call twice since the last few day from a man with a heavy accent (indian) and a lady with the same address as mentioned above. with the same tale which i suspect is a scam. The company name premium Grand incoporporation and the same 5 list of prizes. Ph # 905.754.5163As well I guess i am the nth person to report this. Isn't there a watchdog agency that monitors things like this.
I just was called by the same people at 905-254-5614. Same story, that I would win one of five prizes. After I told the supervisor that i was not interested, I actually received a call back from the original caller to pressure me some more. I don't know who these people are but they don't sound legitimate and couldn't tell me much about what it was that their company was trying to sell. They told me their name was Premium Grand Incorporation and were located at****5 Hwy 7 Unit 6 Woodbridge. They kept saying I wouldn't have to pay anything: if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!
I got the same call tonight...this time the number was 905-552-2509 and the call back number I was given was 905 754 5163 x112. The Sr. Manager I was apparently talking to was a "Paul Stevens" ..Indian accent and I could also hear the chat in the background. Normally I would **** up the phone after telling them off but I wanted to hear what kind of stuff the were spewing for some reason. It was the same info as above with the 42' plasma except I swear the "prize money" has gone down to $300 LOL!! Funny thing is the call was for my mom and even though I told them halfway through the rambling that I wasn't who they asked for they kept going on...I acted as if I was her confirming sarcastically that i am married and btwn that ***ue age ***cket 27-65...hope this wasn't a bad thing even though it was done sarcastically...I don't think they understood I was mocking them. I'm kind of glad I didn't **** up since according to the others they would have just called back. I made an appointment for tmw afternoon which I do not intend to show up for or tell my mom about. The address they are using this time however is****5 Hwy 7 Unit 6 Woodbridge Ont...major intersection being Hwy 7 and 27 and their new company name is Grand Ontario Corporation...how original! I am supposed to speak with a lady named Linda Gilmore...I swear they find everyone's name, address and phone # in the phone book...along with their "names" too! SCAMMMMM! Also I tried calling back the number they gave me after googling and finding this thread and tell them I was going to contact the police but of course the number was not in service/busy ..same thing with the number they called from. I wish I had googled them while on the phone so I could've told them where to shove their prizes. :)
I received a call this morning from 905-267-9261. A man with an extremely heavy accent proceeded to tell me that I filled out a ballot at Christmastime at a store. When I asked which store I filled the ballot out at, they couldn't tell me. All they could tell me is that it was at a store like Ca***ian Tire. They then listed the five prizes I was eligible for (a furniture set, a 7 night Caribbean Cruise, $1500 cash, 3 day 2 night stay somewhere, and a 42" LCD colour TV). They then gave me the same address as above:****5 Hwy 7 Unit #6 in Woodbridge. The thing that got me was that at the end, the manager that I ended up being passed to asked for my first name. I said that if I filled the ballot out, they would have my first name in front of them. I did make an appointment, then went online to find out if anyone else had received a call like mine. Apparently there are a LOT of people who have. The manager I spoke to said his name was John Michael, and he gave me the number to call back: 905-754-5162. I called back, and told him that if I ever received a call from their company a***n, I would contact the police.
Got a call from a company called Ontario Incorporated by a man who name was Sam Richards telephone number 905-754-5162 and to come to****5 Hwy 7 Unit 6 Woodbridge, Ontario to pick up one of five prizes.Said that we have filled out a prize form at either Ca***ianTireor Wal-Mart and some othersI cannot remember. I****ume it is some sort of fraud, what I do not exactly know.
I recieved the same phone call. The Company was called "Ontario Grand Central" I was told someone in my household had filled out the ballet and I had to give them the time I would want to pick up my prize. The "Senior Manager" said his name was Paul Stevens. All the information that you guys posted above was the same including the number that called me and the call back number.
#905-158-1520 (no caller ID) called at 8:29am (ET) on Sat Jul 10 - male person with an accent asked for Mr. & Mrs. {our surname}, and said that we won 1 of 5 prizes from a ballot we 'supposedly' filled out in Feb '10. They asked to confirm home address and range of family salary. Told me there was no financial obligation and that their 'basic' catch was to give out prizes to jump s**** this new company. This company apparently was a US one that is opening in Ca***a. Was provided address of****5 Hwy 7, unit 6 Woodbridge to claim one of the 5 prizes. Was transferred to the Sr Mgr, Shawn Riccardo to get winning passcode and to confirm appointment. Told this person we do not want to go through any hard sell, and would call back if interested. Asked and got the 289-475-5*** for call back
I too got this call today with all the same details about the prizes and call back number. The company name they provided me was "Ontario Source Centre Incorporated". Even had spoke with the Senior Vice President(?). They provided me 3 dates and 2 times for each date to pick up one of the prizes. When I told them my wife would not be able to attend the pick up they basically told me that she MUST be with me or the prizes are not valid. I then ended the conversations. Too much time delay between when they spoke and when I spoke, which usually means they are not in the same time zone. I've heard of people in other countries calling Ca***ians and some how tapping into the phone line to then route long distance calls through it. Anyone know if this can happen, and if it is true how can one protect a***nst it?
Someone from this number called me June 26, 2010 saying the exact same thing as Panorama. I've won 1 of 5 prizes and to claim to go to the exact same address in Woodbridge. When I called to ask what their company name was and where they were located to make sure it was legit they said they were removing my name from the list and I am not to come anymore. OBVIOUSLY this is a scam! If you recieve a phone call like this do not go and report it to the police.
My wife got a call from this number 1-905-158-1542 (no caller ID), and someone told her that we won 1 of 5 prizes from a ballot we filled out few months ago. After few minutes, my wife asked to talk to someone else because she couldn't understand the caller because of his heavy accent. Then a guy with the name Shawn Riccardo introduced himself as the manager who is originally from portugal, eventhough he sounded like he was from India, talked to my wife. My wife asked for his number to call him back after she talks to me, he gave her this number 289-475-5*** Ext 117, and asked to go to****5 Hwy 7 unit 6 Woodbridge to claim one of the 5 prizes. He even gave her the confirmation number for the ballot that I****ume we filled out.
When I answered ***ody was there.
