Leave a CommentJust received a check for 996.80 for my deceased ***her. The sad part is he would have fallen for this scam. This time they used Altura Credit Union and I had to contact a Nancy Lowes. I never believe in getting free money for nothing. Some things are too good to be true. Always beware of scammers no matter how good the offer looks. Check looks very legit. Made me want to go and cash it right away but I knew it had to be a scam since they asked for money to receive your earnings.
I was sent a check also from 21 river road wilton ct 06897 I deposit it and it cleared in portions it was legit training coordinator nicole young #1-416-878-7602 but some thing might be different for others.also has rep id# at top of sheet.$2100.00

Bite on that Scam artist.
I know i got the same letter from Financial Express yes****ay stating i had won the north america consumer draw. it said to contact my claims agent before i did anything. so i did and i could not hear anything there was so much noise in the background and the guy could not speak english at all and ****ed up on me. then i tried calling a***n and the same guy answered i should have known right then that it was a scam. i mean theyre suppose to be a national company or so****ing right what are the chances of the same guy answering and he was so unprofessional he didnt even say his name the three times i called. they are so ****** though because when he was supposably transferring me it was still him and i told him some jack a** had just rudely ****ed up on me and he immediately c****ed his tone of voice and using words such as ma'am and im very sorry what an idiot. i bet if i called tomorrow itll be the same man. but just to make sure we went to my moms bank and they told us that more than likely the check was not real but that if we decided to cash it or do anything with it they would have to put a hold on it. so i called Financial Express by the way the number for the company is the same as the claims agent. and i told him what would happen and he said it was fine. i also asked him how i could find out is the company was legit. i had already asked him this before and he said ma'am i already told you call the US Business Bureau they will give you all the information i should have also known right then it was a scam i mean it was the same person always answering right? i also asked him if there was a website he said financialexpress.com. i didnt call the Bureau but instead i did it over internet and what a surprise nothing i researched the addresses and nothing too i also searched the website and it does exsist but it has nothing to do with the winning of the money. now that i just read the above comments i feel ****** for actually believing i had won 9851.80 i mean really what happened to using even numbers and 000000s lol well im glad im not the only one who had concerns about winning money.now the only thing im curious about is how they got my name how they got my mailing address i wish i could find out who provides them with this information
This must be the 3rd or 4th letter I've received like this! Cashier's check was enclosed for $985.18 with instructions to call Roy Smith, my claim agent at 1-905-781-8853. I agree with other posts; they prey on those of us like me a single mother who could really use the money. It makes no sense to steal from those of us who are already in need! Hope this helps to keep someone else from falling into this bogus trap! God help those of us in need!
please be carefull whats sad is that there using a major companies letter head to do so. stay sharp on your toes an eyes open! will will all still be blessed some way God is always wat****g!

Received "winning" notification in the US Mail. Claimed my daughter had won $10K. Letter has misspelled words, just like spam, and came from a company called "financial express". With the letter was a do***ent that looked like a chashier's check from America First credit union for for $985.18.We were supposed to send them $900 to pay the tax on the winnings. Guess what would never show up?If it's too good to be true . . . .

Received a letter in the mail allegedly from a Financial Express at One Broadway, 16th Floor, Cambridge MA 02142 with a cashier check enclosed for $985.18 allegedly drawn from Andrews Federal Credit Union in Suitland MD. The Credit Union is real - the check is as phony as a three dollar bill. The letter claims I won $9851.80 and the check is to cover a $900 tax that I would have to pay prior to getting the check for my winnings and there is a name Jeff McCoy at 1-289-892-2666 that I am suppose to call prior to doing anything. Here's the deal, you deposit the check, send the $900 and the check bounces like a red rubber ball so now you're out the $900 you sent plus the $985 for a bad check plus the fees. Don't get taken in by these ******s - I knew the deal was phone so didn't do anything except turn everything over to my local police department. Be careful of these so called "winnings". They may look ligit but you will get burned.
