I hate this ppl stop calling me!!
This is a legit number from the BOA fraud dept.
I attempted to make a purchase with my card, and it was declined. Why? I don't know. However, within minutes of this, this number called me. I was unable to answer it, (cell dropped the call), got voice mail from Card Services. I went to call back to this number, and got a recording saying "this number is inactive". My question is: How do they get away with this?
bank of America
I called after the lady on the phone said that they were BOA Fraud Dept and they wanted my DL # and then asked for my ***her's birthday. I advised them that I did not have that info and they said to call BOA. I contacted BOA and they stated that they would not ever ask for DL # and they checked that there was no recent activity. If in doubt call BOA.
Used my Bank of America credit card for several purchases last night, which is an unusual amount of activity for me. The next morning this number called to ask me about unusual activity on my card. Caller was legit. This happens every quarter when I get my quarterly royalties from my books and use them to purchase business expenses. The card sits idle for 3 months and then...bam...a flurry of activity, and then idle for 3 months...and so on. It's inconvenient to have them call me every quarter when I make my business purchases but it's not a scam.
Bank of America fake
UPDATE: BOA FBI FCC FTC are reporting that scammers are s****ing (falsely showing number/name) this phone number & name (Card Services) in an attempt to get you to provide your information. The official stance by all of these are: BOA will NEVER call you and ask for your information. They already have it. You are not to provide ANY information, if asked for it, and to immediately end the call then report the incident to BOA (1-800-432-1000), FBI (http://www.fbi.gov/contact/fo/fo.htm), the FCC (1-888-863-2244) & The FTC (1-877-438-4338).

Caller said she's with Bank of America calling to verify charges on my account. Left the number
Be Warned: This is a phishing call. I have contacted BOA and confirmed that these calls are NOT from them or any party on their behalf. The fraud department of BOA has be tracking these call and so is the FCC & the FBI. I was instructed by BOA to report the calls and detail to both FCC & FBI...which I have. I suggest you guys do the same. We need to help catch these thieves. The clue that is present in all phishing call: they ask you to confirm/give information. If BOA (or any other ins***ution) calls YOU they will NOT ask for your info...they should already have it and not need to confirm anything. This is what all 3 (BOA, FCC, FBI) places has told me.

Some legit tele operators DO call FOR B of A. But some, working for such company either DISABLE THE MONITORING or KNOW WHEN MONITORING CALLS IS NOT ON...and THEN they go "freelance"; you get the idea. If they're calling about YOUR credit card, they SHOULD ALREADY have your info on their PC screen.
I just received a call from 302-458-1590 with caller identifying herself as working for Bank of America's fraud department which was contacting me to check whether I had indeed been the one who recently accessed my online banking account from or through a location in Germany. Other than my name, she asked for no other personal identification details but conveyed legitimacy nevertheless as she correctly confirmed the credit cards and valid online sessions linked to my now apparently compromised online account, reporting that no new charges had been posted and that my current cards would be cancelled and replaced with new ones. She also provided callback numbers for fraud and victim****istance units, neither of which identifies itself as a Bank of America department in recorded greetings.
This female (who sounded African American) called my home on Sunday evening and ask for me by my first and last name. She stated she was calling from the "Bank of America Fraud Division" claiming she was investigating some su****ious activity on my account. As soon as I stated she must have the wrong person as I don't have an account with Bank of America, she said, "Oh really?" in an incredulous voice and then promptly ***g up. I should have played along and got as much information from her as I could. **** it! Caller ID was actually "Private caller" but this is the first place on the Internet I found regarding this type of fraud and naming B of A. In fact, I guess the only other thing for me to do is to try to report what little info I do have to B of A and the FTC.
no message!!!!!!!!!!
Left message to call about debt matter and left this return number
Left message to call back "card services" regarding a Fraud alert on Bank of America credit card. First thing they did when I called back was ask me for my credit card number! I ***g up!

Frustrating to say the least! The last one-ma****e picks up, the guy says to return call (B of A) about some things that could be done. Left a CB number s****ing with 877.
I called Bank of America to verify that this was one of their numbers, they said no it was not and could not identify for me.

This Sa****ay morning at 10:56 the phone s****ed ringing, showing 'Card Services 302-458-1590' and I let the phone ring. It however did not go into voice mail. A***n at 10:57 it continued to ring. A***n at 10:58 it was ringing, my daughter answered, the identified themselves as Bank of America, they wanted to talk to a person named the same as my son. Knowing no different- my daughter said that he lived in Dallas TX. They thanked her and she ***g up. I am irrate! My son has not lived at home for 12 years, always have lived in another state, why is this company bothering me?? And the relentless calls, one after another? This happened about a month ago and now it is s****ing a***n. My son is successful, would not leave an upaid debt, they are not calling about MY son, probably only tracking any one by that name.

Left a message on my ma****e. Says so****ing about "car services security department" and "su****ious activity".
Claimed from VISA fraud division. He was resear****g charges on 7/19/08 & 7/22 for moving services that he claimed were charged on a deceased persons credit card. Wanted the address we moved customer to. When I explained that I couldn't give out that info he became rude and ***g up on me.
Received call from FIA Card Services. They just wanted to verify that the charges on my card were legit. They actually were so I am pleased with this call and this service.Don't be afraid to call them back, but remember if you do get a call don't give them your account number. Make them research it by using the phone number they called you on. That's what I did and they pulled up EVERYTHING!They even noted in our account days that we would be traveling so that they would not flag our account for the charges during that time.Great service!
Voice mail (I never answer )Say I must call regarding my relationship with BOA
I really want to meet the freak that called me. Face to face!
Not only are the reps at this number abusive, they are bogus! The tact the one i talked to was that my dead mother left some money in an account. After i told him that i was not interested in talking about it, and ***g up, he called right back! I told him to stop calling, or i would find him, and we could talk about it face to face. He said to bring it on! This is not an example of good customer service!
I have talked to them few ocations, and they keep calling. THis should STOP..
Same thing with me. Ther's a long pause then **** up
they called and not leave a message. I called it back and it stated it was card services but admin. ofice was cloased and to call 800 421 2110. I called it and the first thing the woman asked me for was my name and SS#. I would not give her my SS and she told me she could not help mw with out it. I ***g up. Not sure it is legit....

bank f america fraud saying account is fraud
This is a valid call from Bank of America - Fraud Department. The number they gave me for returning their call was: 800-606-3376, ext. 31662. The lady I spoke with was Elyse.
YES, IT IS FROM BANK OF AMERICA AND AFTER FINALLY REA****G THEM, THE NUMBER THEY LEFT 888 231 6060 DOES NOT WORK, SO I CALLED THE NUMBER ON THE CARD, FOR 50 MINUTES ***ODY KNOWS WHAT IS GOING ON AND YOU GET DISCONNECTED 4 OR 5 TIMESI CANCELED ACCOUNT AND HAVE NO MORE WORRIESTRY IT, IT WORKS! ! !
It is a legit BofA number. I was solicited for Business Card.
That 888-483-3533 is not a bogus number. That's FIA card services who handle delinquent accounts for various ins***utions. I got a call from them yes****ay and just googled it and got this site. Then I called them to see what's up and they pulled up my account and told me a payment came through yes****ay and they no longer need to talk with me. They knew who I was (a commercial account, no less) by the caller ID and I didn't give them any information as I didn't know which card they were talking about until they told me they no longer needed to talk with me.
This is Bank Of America (fraud dept) If they call you, it is serious.
bad
Got a call from 302-458-1590, claimed to be Bank of America, and wanted to verify some information. I said no thanks, but call a***n, and this time left a message to call 800-821-6247 or 888-483-3533. I called the REAL Bank of American, and they said they wouldn't do anything like that. This is a bogus scam! Beware!
I keep getting calls from this number, they ask for different names, and when I say they don't live here they **** up. Sometimes they don't say anything then **** up.
I got a call from 302-458-1590. I didn't answer and they left a v/m. Turns out that it was Bank of America Fruad Department. I had a recently opened new line of credit account and had a new charge (a large transfer)... they were calling to confirm. If you get a call from this number, the call back number I was given was 877-451-4602.
Received calls from this number numerous times
Company is called "Card Services" - - they did not leave a message when calling both my home and cell phones, one right after the other. A recording came on indicating they cannot take incoming calls at that number, and to call 1-800-441-7048. Sounds pretty legit. After calling the 800 number, I found out that it WAS FIA Card Services, a company that does credit card servicing for Bank of America and other banks. They're located in Trenton, NJ.
It's the fraud department from MasterCard
