Said they would approve credit card and to look for it in the mail 7-10 days. I called back to inquire since I had not received it and they asked for my social security number. I gave it to them to look up application - now sick that this is scam.
got call from 302-458-4399 with recorded message to call back about my recent inquiry. It said from BOA. I was to call back 866-530-9829. Called BOA check and it is a scam. I then called the number and the first thing the man asked was my SS# to pull up my application. Told him I didn't have an application and he asked fo my name to check if someone was applying in my name. Told him that I will deal with bank directly and ***g up. Called BOA a***n to verify that no one is using card or name, which, thankfully, was ok.
This is a scam. I called Bank of America directly and was told that they had gotten 30 calls that day before mine. If you ever give someone your Social Security number or any personal information they don't already know over the phone because they ask for it you may as well just sign a book of blank checks and mail it to them.
didn't leave a message but sounds like one of the million other credit card scams...DON'T GIVE OUT YOUR SS # EVER!
