No one answers the phone when i pick up and say "Hello". Within a few seconds I hear a "click" on the other end as they **** up. This same number has called many times since 27 Jan -- always the same abandoned call behavior. Today I tried calling back the number, but got the message that the phone number is not in service. My phone company claims they cannot help trace the source of the call. Any suggestions out there in reader land?

Calls a do-not-call-list residential number over and over. A lady at the Seattle Specialties Company said that their telemarketer uses 303-771-1143, and they buy their list from several sources. She promised to remove my number from their list within 72 hours. I promised to initiate a complaint to the FTC, which involves a monetary fine, if I get calls after 72 hours.

Called the 800# you all listed (800)448-1541 and asked if they operate the # 303-771-1143 . The gentleman said yes and I said I've been getting multiple calls from this number with no one on the other end and it's geting annoying. Captain Obvious said "would you like your number to be removed from the call list?" I said yes and he took my number. We'll see if it fixes anything. I'm on the Do Not Call registry, so they can get in trouble for this.

Twice or three times a day call comes in from this bogus number. The call disconnects and upon call back is a recording that it is a disconnected number.

Caller ID says Littleton, CO. They have called everyday this week s****ing early Monday morning, then about an hour later each day. Yes****ay they ***g up when I answered. Today a woman asked for the owner of the business. I said I could help her because I'm his wife. She asked for my husband by name and then ***g up when I said he was working. Name of the company is Seattle, Inc. Trisch said she was the owner and she did not have to stop calling. She was very rude and ***g up when I told her the owner wasn't available.

Calls regularly and asks for the owner. I work at a school. No owner. Told the man on the other end that I'd asked before that we be taken off their calling list. The caller got smart with me and when I asked for his name, he told me it was Jack Mehoff and said he was calling on behalf of no one.

These people call repeatedly and tie up my business line. And,what everybody else said.

The funny thing is, when I spoke with a lady who answer, I asked why were receiving the calls, she said "it was the sales floor" and I asked what they sold and she didn't even know. Today, finally someone answered and said "I need to speak with your daughter" I put our little girl (age 7) on the phone with this caller thinking it may be a parent of one of her friends. I listened in and heard the caller from 303-771-1143 say "How old are you?" My daughter said "7 years old." Then the caller said "I want to kiss you and hug you" The caller also said "I like little boys and girls, I love to play with them" That's when I spoke up and said " who is this?" The caller said " I'm a child lover" Then he ***g up. I reported the incident and was told that the phone number comes back to a fraudulant business that exploits people in several different ways. Also, that they make thousands of unsolicited calles trying to get credit card info, and that the company employs child ******ers and scammers.
