No message left. Search of number gave a name of someone I do not know.

This call is not a scammer.

robin No one answers the phone when i pick up and say "Hello". Within a few seconds I hear a "click" on the other end as they **** up. This same number has called many times since 27 Jan -- always the same abandoned call behavior. Today I tried calling back the number, but got the message that the phone number is not in service. My phone company claims they cannot help trace the source of the call. Any suggestions out there in reader land?

DK They called me 8 times today, all before 4 pm. They called 6 times while we weren't home from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm. On the 7th time, I answered "hello" and heard a click. On the 8th time, I answered "hello" and the name of my home business. They asked to speak to the owner and I said I was one. Then they ***g up on me. Don't have any idea what they are trying to do. Why call multiple times and then **** up when you verify that it's a home business.
