Yes this is a scam and yes this is a mobile phone number. He even has a tape in the background to make it sound like a busy office setting. If he is in a real office of IRS, he is getting your phone number from the optional giving of your phone number on your taxes. If the IRS is gonna sue you they would send you a letter and they already know your full name date of birth and social security number, this guy is a scammer trying to get you to pay him your money. Don't tell him anything. HE will be caught soon. They are on to him.

This number has called me 2 times TODAY stating the same thing that everyone else on here is saying, that they are IRS and they are about to sue me and I need to contact them IMMEDIATELY.

They called both my house and my Mothers today telling me they were from the IRS and were going to file "lawsuit" a***nst me. Told me to call this number. It was a recording. Later on they called back with another recording and said they had been trying to reach me about the lawsuit they were filing a***nst me. Of course they did not say my name either time. Just told me to call this number. Just a scam. The IRS never "cold" calls you like that.

Received multiple calls from (304) 532-2644.. Called back and could not understand the person as a result of a heavy accent so I disconnected & blocked the number.
