This is very irritatating, and I'm on the Do Not Call list and I'm paying every month to have an unlisted number.
This african american lady calls like 20 times she leaves a message on my ma****e sevral times cussing me out, and just being very faul!! you call the number back and it says" this number has been disconnected" These people need to be stoped I am so sick of this and there fual comments. How do I report these people calling from this number?
This company is none other than Bank of America and Visa.
I've ignored this call repeatedly -- I've been getting daily calls from this number. Finally, I stayed on the line in order to ask who this was and tell them to leave me alone. I pressed "1" as told then asked the woman who answered, who was calling? "Account Services," she said nicely. "Account services for WHO?" I asked, and then she SLAMMED the phone down on me. When I tried to call back, I found that the number had been disconnected. How can these ****s be stopped?
This is not just someone ignoring the do-not-call list.. these are clearly scammers. I get called by them ALL the time--almost daily lately. Sometimes they call from an 062 area code (phony), sometimes from 305. This time from 305-222-1966. It is always the same though; they want all the info. on your credit cards and claim to be able to lower your interest rates.I play along and usually they **** up pretty fast. This time she talked for a bit. When asked for the company phone number she said it was her first day so she didn't know it (heard that one before from them.) She also couldn't tell me a web site or state they were registered with (though she claimed that she was in Atlanta.) She had no comment as to why they were calling people on the do-not-call. She ***g up when I nicely suggested that she quit this scam and inform the FBI about the company. ;-)Please, someone tell us how to get the FBI and/or CIA on these groups. The problem will get much worse without some legal action!
See the Alexis - 16 Feb 2009 post. After the recording I pressed 1.Rang several times.Male agent picked up. "Did you get a message from us?""ME": The battery in my handset is low. If we get cut off, is there number I can call to get you back?" Agent ***g up.
We are calling to lower your credit card debt. I **** up because I don't have a credit card debt and I know this is a scam.
If you try to call back after they **** up on you the call can not be be completed because these cowardly scammers have dis-connected their phone.
These are CRIMINALS, everyone. These people are not legitimate bankers/agencies/Credit card companies...They are scam artists. It's fraud.
Warning: Long PostSince I fell for it, basically all the way, I'll leave more detail below:Recorded message: 'Press 1 to resolve a critical issue with my credit card, Press 2 and there will be no way to c****e the outcome. They've been trying urgently to contact me and this is my final chance.' That's accurately paraphrased - I just ***g up 3 minutes ago."Mary" came on the line to tell me her company worked with the major card companies to reduce credit card interest rates. I asked if they were a debt consolidation firm, and she said no. She was calling to make sure I still qualified, and if so, I'd continue to make the same payments, but more would be applied to principle.I asked the name of the company - Account ServicesHere's what she asked me for:- to confirm my number in case of disconnection- amount of total debt- how long would it take me to pay off this debt- my current APR- the expiration date on the card I wanted them to help with- the 800 number on the back of that card, which took me a min. to findI found this strange as I ***ted around for it, but she needed to make sure I was still in good standing with my card company- or the number on any card I had in hand, if a Visa or MasterCard- which bank issued the cardand then very professionally asked for the 16 digit number on the front s****ing with a "5"Did they have a website- yes, but she was just in the call center and didn't know the addressSurely she had a supervisor who would know it, right?"Joseph" came on the line (after being on hold with modern Muzak aka 'Lite FM' - which for some reason turned me back to believing this was legitimate!) I needed to verify them somehow, I said, which he understood, but he was a "financial consultant" with Account Services and they had helped all their clients this way, after confirming that they "still qualified."I asked him if they had a website, he said that yes, of course, they did, but he couldn't give the web address out to me since it was reserved for clientele. I would have access to all the information and services provided online once I gave them my card # because that set me up as a client immediately.A phone number I could call back? Yes, yes, but a***n only for actual clients. If they gave their number and website out to everyone they contact, too many people would be calling and their current clients wouldn't be able to get through to their own financial planners right away... people wouldn't get the type of rapid response nor the quality the company wanted to provide its clients.I was totally su****ious, but he was very smooth - I even used to be a licensed financial advisor for years! I still didn't really, really know for sure it was a scam until I pushed a***n for a number and he ***g up on me. They were very good, I must say. I fear for the elderly and the desperately in debt out there. And the gullible, like me!
Received threatening phone call from "out of area" 305-222-1966 on 02/16/2009.Female voice said they had tried many times to contact us and this was our last final call for lowering our interest rate on our credit card. If we didnt they would lower our credit score. Had me dial one to speak to a account rep. They knew my name and when I asked for his and his company name he ***g up. This is very low class. I think they are working for Visa and Bank of America.
Infers there is a credit card account problem. The ID is FLORIDA and the phone number is 305-222-1966. The same message has been sent for several months now.
Received numerous calls from this number. It says to press 2 if you want to be removed from thier call list. This doesn't work. Talk to thier Reps and they just get rude and nasty.
We've been receiving threatening recorded calls about how there is a problem with our credit account and that they have been trying repeatedly to get hold of us and resolve the issue. They also say that this is our last chance before they have to take action on our account.I just called the number back and found it was disconnected and no longer in service.
I have had several calls from this number but I never pick up and they never leave a message. So much for being on the "Do Not Call" list!
They said to please hold...It was a company calling themselves "Account Services" and that they worked with my credit card company to lower the interest on my accounts...I asked what did they have on me...They don't know...just trying to gather information...I asked to be put on their do not call list...I'm suppose to be on it anyway...
It said" Please hold for important message about life insurance". More ****!!
