new cingular wireless keeps calling from an automated system ( 305-587-2112 Summerland Fla.) stating they will give me a home security system if i place a sign in my yard. they never pick up when i answer. so i know its some sort of scam. i just don't know what they're doing.

I'm pretty sure I've gotten a call from these guys before; same voice, similar spiel. This time, I actually caught which number I was supposed to press to get rid of them--supposedly. Yes, it's spam; it was about reducing mortgage rates, and I don't HAVE a mortgage. I'm on the Do Not Call registry--submitted my number more than once!

Glad I checked the number by calling it on a different line. Some sort of subscriber thing. No way was I giving them my number to verify if I was a subscriber!

I told them to lose my number. Ha!

Report them often. They call and call and NEVER remove you from their call list. They are breaking the law with that alone, who knows what other poor business practices they have.
