got a call today. I immediately called my ins. co., Group Health Plan, and was told to answer the call next time and work with them, because GHP uses them to help out lower income members. I deal with this insurance representative every week, and she had good info on this Social Services Coordinaters. Hope this helps
Calls never leaves message
This number called me and I told them stop calling. take me off youir list. You are just another telemarketer. Let's see if they do.Btw, Marc, caller id is not expensive and LIS peple need it more than most since scammers prey on them.
I am amzed at all these posts, most of the people posting probably do qualify from a LIS subsidy. How can all these clowns afford caller I.D. when they can most likely be on LIS?
it is not a scam, this company is employed by HMOs. They find medicare members who may also qualify for a low income subsidy from medicare.
Received a letter from this place a few days ago asking for copies of my SS card, Medicare card, Last 3 bank statements, state ID card, proof of income etcetera. I just called Medicare, Blue Cross AND Medicaid. They all say this did not come from them. The man I talked to at Blue Cross/Blue Shield is checking into it. The letterhead on this letter has the Blue Cross/Blue Shield logo and it says they contract with Social Service Coordinators to provide services. The man I talked to at Medicare Plus Blue says this is not from Medicare and it is also NOT from Social Services/Medicaid either. All 3 people told me "DO NOT" send any copies of my do***ents to them. The guy at Medicare Plus Blue, Blue Cross/Blue Shield told me to ignore the letter. The person at Medicaid told me anything from them would come from my worker at Social Services.I gave the man from Blue Cross all the information from the letter AND their web address as well and he is going to check into them. When I got the call, my caller ID just said Social Services so I talked to the woman thinking it was from my local office of Social Services but the letter asking for copies of all my do***ents made me su****ious, so I looked them up on line and now checked the number. That's what prompted me to call Blue Cross, Medicare and Medicaid directly to inquire as to whether this was legitimate before sending anything. If you get this call, do not give them any information without checking with Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid or you social services/food stamp worker first.
I got a called today but was not home. On the id was Social Services. I do know there is a plan that if you are an income ***cket you can receive help with your medicare $96.00. Not sure if this is what the company is that helps with that or not though. I know a lot places takes advantage of seniors.
I though it was a scam also and did report them to the social security and they didnt seem to be up on it so i waited for the paperwork that Joes from Social Services said he would send me and low and behold my supplement plan had their name on the paperwork also. I called them and they denied they had given my name out to them. I was told by them that medicare gives out your name if you are lower income and need****istance. I really dont know how they got my phone number and address but I called Social Services in Miami Fl. and told Jose that if I thought I needed****istance i would let medicare know on my own and didnt need their help. Asked to be taken off their list and called my insurance co and told them if they are going to give out information about me I would find another co. Just another way to try to comfuse senior citizens into doing so****ing they may regret down the road. Be careful!!!!
another number to add to the many that call now.
Company is not a scam. They are registered with the Better Business Bureau as well. They are contracted to work on behalf of senior's insurance companies (like United, Humana, Blue Cross etc) to****ist low income medicare recipients to enroll in the state and federal programs. Feel free to contact your Medicare Advantage / Health Insurance company and ask them who SSC or Social Service Coordinators are. The insurance companies have contracted out to SSC to****ist seniors with the enrollment process to get the 96.40 back. I was able to get my ***her****istance through them and they state even paid retro monies back. It is a legit company. The information of SS#, Address, etc is provided to them from his insurance company. They have to verify for accu**** purposes as they****ist with completing the application. I was skeptical at first but did my research and found out they are legit. Here is a link to the BB as well as their company website (Company Website) www.sscincorporated.com (Better Business Bureau LINK) http://www.seflorida.bbb.org/B***eb/Forms/Bus ... pan***=31000398
this number is in fact a scam. dont give them any information and immediately report them to the SS adminstration and report them.
Caller claimed they working for our insurance company (Medicare advantage) and they could eliminate the medicare premium deduction from the social security payment each month if we qualified. They had the name of the insurance company and my and my wife's first and last na*****ey said if our monthly income was less than "X" we would qualify, I told them it wasn't less than "X" and they said thank you and ***g up.
I just received a call from that number with caller id saying "Social Service". Since I didn't recognize the number and it's out of my area, I didn't answer. No message left. This is the first time I've received such a call. I am on SS and Medicare. Definitely sounds like a scam to me and should be reported to someone to investigate.
Caller called my 70-year old mother with the same spiel. Fortunately, she called to ask me to check into it. I contacted the Social Security Adminstration who denies any knowledge of such rebates.
I have received three calls from this number twice no message the last time Rubin left a message stating it concerns aarp and to call back right away. I called back just to find out what it was all about. Rubin stated that I was eligible to receive $96.00 back into my s.s. check that is the amount I pay for my medical so I said to him what info do you need he said I need for verification purposes the last 4 digits of your ss# I replied to him that I will be calling aarp because I think you are a scam. Beware do not give any info out...........
Have had several calls from this 305-779-6070 Social Services before. They had never left a message but today mother-in-law answered at 12:11 EDT. They asked age and S.S.# but fortunately she didn't know it. They talked so****ing about Medicare D but at m-i-l's age she can't remember to much. Sounds like a SCAM to steal iden***y. If it was a Government agency they would know all the info and would mail a questionaire with official do***ents. If it is an official Government facility, they have a very poor way of conducting business!
My mother received a call and they told her she would be eligible to have the medicare premium rebated to her. They gave her an 888-428-9488 number and that is always fast busy and takes a long time to connect. She unfortunately gave them sensitive information. I am concerned.
