Leave a CommentUnknown call to cell.
I've received two calls, the second time they left a message with some profanity. Nice.
They called me as well with the same ****. Asked me to verify my personal information and I refused. She then told me that I would be put me out of the drawing. THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMS! DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION, EVEN IF THEY ASK YOU TO CONFIRM WHETHER OR NOT YOU HAVE A CREDIT CARD, SAY THAT YOU HAVE RECENTLY CANCELED ALL CREDIT CARDS AND NO LONGER LIVE AT THE CURRENT ADDRESS THEY SPECIFIED. THEY ARE ALL THE SAME. THEY SAY THAT YOU HAVE WON SO****ING WHEN IN REALITY THEY JUST WANT TO KNOW WHETHER OR NOT YOU HAVE AN ACTIVE CREDIT CARD AND CURRENTLY LIVE IN THE PRESENT ADDRESS THEY HAVE ON RECORD. DON'T CONFIRM ANY ADDRESS, REALLY **** THEM OFF BY GIVING THEM A FAKE ADDRESS.
Do NOT waste your time answering this call. I received a call from 310-370-9794 on my personal cell phone. I've received many calls from this number over the past few weeks but was at work and didn't have time to answer. Unfortunately, I answered it this time. A woman asked for me by name and stated she was calling from a Publishing House in California. Interesting company name which is very close to Publishers Clearing House - remember Ed McMahon? I immediately told her that this was my personal cell number and I wanted her to delete my number from their database. She replied "You want me to call you back in an hour?" I said no and repeated that I wanted her to delete my personal cell phone number from their database. She said "OK, I will call you back in an hour." I'm embarrassed to say that the third time I stated I wanted her to delete my number from their database I screamed it into the phone and ***g up. Time to cut back on the caffeine! I would recommmend ignoring this call if you get one. The reverse lookup only showed the number is a Land Line in Redondo Beach, CA in Los Angeles County
They say they are part of a promotion I believe it is trough your credit card company and that you are entered in a drawing to win these great prizes. They also tell you that you will get 6 magazines for free and a watch and all you have to do is buy one magazine that the publishers are trying to get out there more. If you agree they ask you for your credit card number. Red flag right there if it by a credit card company then they should have your info already so don't give it out.
Keep calling but never say who they are. Told them to stop, but they keep calling anyway.
This number is part of a scam do get your address and phone number. do not give out the info to anyone. Never trust a number that you dont know.
