I RECIEVED A PHONE CALL ON WEDNESDAY AUGUST 26, 2009 ON MY CELL PHONE STATING THAT I HAD PENDING LEGAL ACTIONS A***NST ME FOR A PAY DAY LOAN. THE MAN I SPOKE WITH SAID THEY HAD SENT ME SEVERAL EMAILS TRYING TO GET IN TOUCH WITH ME. WHEN I ASKED THEN WHY HADN'T THEY CALLED ME PRIOR TO THAT DAY HE TOLD ME THET WERE NOT OBLIGATED TO. HE TOLD ME THAT HE WOULD REPORT IT TO MY HR DEPARTMENT AT MY JOB AND THEN THEY WOULD SEND THERE INVESTIGATORS TO COME AND GET ME. I SPOKE WITH A FOREIGNER WITH A STRONG ACCENT WHO WOULDN'T ANSWER ANY OF MY QUESTIONS THAT I WAS AKSING HIM ABOUT THIS SO CALLED LAWSUIT. HE THEN TOLD ME THAT I COULD SETTLE OUT OF COURT BUT I WOULD HAVE TO FAX OVER A LETTER STATING THAT I HAD NO INTENTIONS ON SKIPPING MY PAYMENTS WITH MY CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD INFORMATION ON IT WITHIN 30 MINUTES AFTER THE PHONE CALL.

i received the first call from these people yes****ay. same as what everyone says here; there's legal action pending a***nst me, that i had to come to california for court, if not a subpeona would be sent to my job and i would lose my job. it was foreigner with a very strong accent, and he was very loud and very rude. said he was with the federal government, and wouldn't tell me what company he was representing. i will admit that i was terrified and i was trying to find a way to make a payment, thinking i would be arrested. they called me 26 times today. i was still scared, thinking i needed to do so****ing immediately. i finally decided to google the number and found these posts. i'm so glad i did. the number that comes up on my caller id is 810-671-485 (strange number). but in a msg they left the 310 number for me to call back.

I received a call from a man named John. Very heavily accented, couldn't really understand a word he said. He did mention that either me or my attorney need to call back as this is a time sensitive matter. Then he said if I didn't respond he wishes me good luck. Just like all these other messages here, they are just scammers and can't do anything to you.

I received 3 calls at work and the guy said his name is langer. i am in a lawsuit is what he says. i called the atty generals office and my attorney. tried to call the number i got but it just rings busy.

I recieved my second call from these scammers today.  I got one about 3weeks ago and the guy told me I was going to jail if I did not pay them 9***ks within 30 minutes.  The first time they called and left a message to call back a different phone number.  Today I called back just for fun since I know they are all scammers and talked to John Smith yah ok.  Anyways, he told me to report to California in court...haha I told him that was about a 5 day drive for me and asked if they could come get me.  The guy was so rude and scarily creepy he said his team would pick me up.  I told him I couldn't wait that I have never been to California, then I told him I would be with the national Beaureu of Investigations to sue him in his own court for scamming so many people.  These guys are a joke, they are very mean and very creepy.  Sad part is I am sure alot of people fall for it, they almost got me the first time until I googled the number to see *** was going on.  They need to be stopped.  Scary part they have all of my info soc sec, email, address and they took money out of my bank.  I have since closed my acct and opened a new one, if they are able to extract money from this account then I think it is more trouble than I imagined.  We shall see.  DO NOT FALL FOR THIS.  Call their bluff and tell them you work with the FBI or so****ing, they will get super mad and **** up on you.....FKRS

Received about 30+ calls on my cell phone over a one day period.  My message was from a very heavily accented James Davis that told me I better call back(or my retained attny) as this is a time-sensitive issue.  He said if I didn't call back then all he could do was wish me luck as this situation unfolds on me.  ***!!  I have no idea what "this situation" even is.  Pigs will fly out of my **** before I give them a call back.  My number to return the call was 310-598-1768, but all of the comments on what was said is so similar that I'm sure it's the same company.  Please don't let yourselves be scared by these losers- it's such a shame in these hard economic times that we all have this added stress of dealing with these low-life ***** clowns.

THEY GOT ME- I AM NOW HAVING TO CANCEL MY ACCT AND WORK W/ MY BANK TO GET MY $225.00 BACK.  I HAVE FILED A POLICE REPORT AS WELL.THIS IS A BIG *** SCAN

okay....that was weird, i called taht number back and it says to please leave a message after the beep? obviously if it was a court of ca (thats what they said when they left me the vmail) then it would not have that option to leave a message after the beep. Then it also said the message is full?? okay its all a scam people so dont fall for it.

i got a voicemail today and someone from this number said that i have a legal action a***nst me? according to everyone elses comments on here it seems fraud, is it? im not calling them back. who cares what can they do? right?

HELP! I've been receiving calls from these people and made a payment due to the threat that I was going to be sued by the Federal Government.  I should have ready all these messages first but I was scared that they were coming to my work or house to arrest me.  WHAT CAN I DO NOW???

I was so relieved to find others here who had been harrassed by these people the same way I have.  The funny thing is, I have never used a payday loan center.  It was extremely threatening. I was told I was being charged for money laundrying, fraud, etc. I was told I would lose my job. I asked to speak to someone who could talk more clearly in English and was told to stop using profanity!!!!  Next thing I know, they refused to talk any further with me and that I would receive a subpeona at my work.  I do not work there any longer, however the doctor there is a close friend and will look out for this so-called subpeona!!!  These people must be stopped!!!!

I have contacted the FBI and the FCC and filed a report and complaint.  These people are very threatening who use profanity.  Should you get a call from these people, please contact your authorities.  The man who called me said his name was John.

I have gotten 4 calls from this number today.  They tell me to give them the name of my legal representative.  I called the 310 number back to find out what they are calling me for and they won't identify themselves. I asked to speak with someone who can speak English which really made him mad.  I told him I would not talk with them until I knew who was calling and what they were calling for.  He said no, you tell me your name or f*** you in the a**.  I then ***g up.  I don't know who this is, but it is horrible.

these people called my phone about 40 times in 1 hour and left 2 vm's. I called back and spoke with someone who was obviously foreign and say that I was being sued by the federal government for bank fraud. For a payday loan I never got approved for. I told him I had no idea what this about since I never got the payday loan, and he got mad and ***g up on me. I did manage to tell him that if there was this fraud the government can send me so****ing, this can all easily be proven in court by bank records so I am sure this is a big *** SCAM

Called my work a***n today. I think it's time for the police.

I recweived the same phone call and they said that i Must show up to court in California tomorrow b/c I was being sued by the federal gov't.  They told me to have a lawyer or else. They were very threatening!  I live in New York, and I do owe, however, instead of working with me, they are using scare tactics!

I received a call from this number both on my cell phone and at WORK. They wouldn't identify what company they were calling for. All they said was that I was being sued and would be taken to jail.

Caller was obviously a foreigner and stated I was being sued for a delinquent pay day loan.After about 5 minutes I asaked for someone who spoke English, this insulted him but I did get to speak with someone who had less of an accent.He went on to say I was being sued by the federal government for theft by deception and bank fraud. I kept asking who had filed the complaintand he said I can not tell you,it isn't in the paperwork.Then he said his "representatives" would be by my house between 7-8 AM to take me to jailfor either a 31 or 62 day incarceration and that I owed a total of $10,000.00 to satisfy this debt
