Leave a CommentI just Google'd the phone number to find out whose call I missed. It's the World Wildlife Fund. I once saw actor Noah Wyle on TV talking about this organization and saving endangered animals. Being a Noah Wyle fan and wanting to help save spectacular animals, I made a donation. They don't harrass me. I receive their beautiful catalogs once in a while and there's an occasional phone call asking for a pledge. It's a worthwhile cause.
get called daily by these *****s. until this point i've been ignoring them, and today i picked up (thought the election's over, so why are they still calling...) their system doesn't even work -- it never connected me to an agent. i was looking forward to a minor encounter where i could interrupt them and demand to be placed on their DNC list. apparently it's time to block their number.
It showed up as WWF on my caller ID, too. It's an audio caller ID, so when it "announced" the caller, it sounded like "WOOF!" Very funny! Needless to say, I didn't pick up. Thanks for the information.
This is a company called Donor Services Group and their website is DonorServicesGroup.org. There is some mention of them being a scam when I googled them, so I cannot vouch for their veracity. They also called me on behalf of World Wildlife Fund. WWF shows up on caller ID. They give out convincing information with a website that shows their charity at a 62.4% efficiency. Yet, I had a feeling from the telemarketer that they are "high pressure". If you s**** asking questions they tell you they are recording the call. A good response from you is to say you are (and do it) recording them too. The Telemarketer got no commitment from me, especially after he told me that the phone call had cost them $4.50 already. NOT professional....as they called ME. Hope this helps you understand better whether you want to answer the phone or not when they call.
Calls at least once a day. Never leaves a message.
