A man called and asked for me by name, saying he represented "Performance" and he wanted to verify some "personal information" with me. When asked who he represented, he stammered and repeated the same opening: "I'm looking for _____ and I need to verify some personal information with them." Everything screamed SCAM so I told him he had the wrong number and promptly ***g up. SCAM!

A gentleman called my home and said that he was trying to locate my neighbor across the street.  He even provided the address of the house and my neighbor's name.  When I confirmed that that is my neighbor's name, he asked when I last saw him and if he is about 26 years old.  I told him, no, he must be asking about his son who does not live there.  Then the man asked me if I have a phone number or cell number for my neighbors and I told him that we are only neighbors and I don't have numbers for them.  I also said that I would not give them out even if I did have them and inquired as to what he wanted and if I could give them a message.  He told me that he was doing some work for their son and he would try to get in touch with him some other way.  It was a very strange conversation and made me uncomfortable.

A man called my exhusband and asked for my number or my sons number. would not state who he was or who he was with. My ex told him he couldn't give out any info. Then the man called my house told my son he was doing some work for me. I have not asked any one for help.
