Posted a missing dog flyer and this person claims they found my dog (since I said reward). I figured it was spam since the area code didn't match the area so did more research. I called and the message said it's a "text mail subscriber". Aka this person uses a web-based service to create a fake phone number to send texts to other people.

The people calling form this number are telemarketer scammers who are attempting to defraud of funds and to obtain bank account and social security numbers. The callers are also calling form this number pretending to be employees of the Social Security Administration, stating that the government has assigned them to apply and/or monitor your benefits and life insurance needs.
