This is a number to the VA internal phone/answering system. If you dial 411 at the extension prompt, you should be able to find your person by name and then dial their number.GOOD LUCK!

I've been getting calls from this number, ringing on both my home and cell for several days. ***ody there when I answer. No message left when I don't. I call back and get an automated system and no way to get an operator, and no information who they are. I tried a lot of combinations trying to hit on someone's extension but no luck.I was this close to reporting it as a nuisance call to the phone company when I checked here. My husband is a disabled veteran.  We are not in North Carolina, though. I tried calling the VA 800 number, but couldn't get through to a person. I don't know how to find out what they want.

My husband works for the VA in winston salem. This is the number that comes up each time he calls. Like Z Wilson said, you wont get directly to a person calling back this number. Its kind of like a hospital- there is one dial out number, but you cant contact anyone when you call it back. It's a legit call.

Z wilson, what extention did you dial? Please post an extension here so we can verify if this is really from the VA.

This is VA calling.  If you call back you will get a recording that does not identify where you are calling.  Your choices are to either enter in a persons extension, listen to directory, or hold the line for an operator.  I knew the persons extension so got right to that persons phone.

received call from this # claiming to be a VA rep. and was asked to give my daughter's ssn. called # back and got a recording that will only **** up and not actually do anything. I am reporting to the local authorities.

recieved a call from this number who said his name was Rodney from the veterans administration and he wanted to verify some information on my claim . he ask for my s.s. number. i declined and when i called his number back, guess what? recording... not v.a. offices
