BT I received an unsolicited text from this unrecognized number: “Hello, How are you doing?”. I did not respond, but after checking online and finding that this area code (s****ed in 1999 to cover multiple boroughs of NYC and ofyen used for businesses) on a list if****ential spammer-used area codes, I checked here. No info on who owns it. I strongly suspect its a scammer.

Same as iPhone user. Called the number (*69 from another phone) and it first was busy, then after trying a***n it went to voicemail (full, of course).
