Someone called me (from this number) claiming they had just arrived on the scene of an accident in an ambulance and 1 of the 2 people involved gave my number as an emergency contact. (The caller-id on my phone showed New York, NY.) I said, "how do I know you're with the emergency response team? This doesn't seem legit." He replied with, "yes we'll get to that - I can hear you just fine; now your name, sir?" I ***g up. I believe this man had some sort of Hispanic accent if that helps identify this scam for anyone else in the future. It's been ~3 hours and no follow up call since I ***g up. Definitely a scam.
