I received six calls in three hours all from "VMS". I also received a call two days ago asking me to take a short survey regarding smoke detectors in my home. If these calls keep up I should be getting another one in about 10 minutes.

On Friday, my husband received a call from 352-352-0352 which was a survey about the smoke detectors in our house.  On Monday, we began receiving calls from this number every couple of hours.  The caller ID states "VMS."  Upon further research I learned that this was VMS Alarms (also known as Versatile Marketing Solutions) at 600 Jefferson Park Road in West Warwick, RI.  The owner is Jasjit "Jay" Gotra and the Customer Service Manager is Ralph Bruno.  Others on this site have complained about receiving calls from VMS following an initial "smoke detector survey," even though they are on the Do Not Call Registry.  Other phone numbers they call from include 401-305-6851, 401-490-3493, and 401-490-3542.Although they are registered with the BBB, they have received many complaints.  My general belief is that if you're doing business with integrity then you don't use these kinds of unsavory sales tactics.  I would urge you to avoid dealing with this company.
