Leave a CommentContact the FCC! They have a website where you can report this sort of call. It's illegal if you are on no call list, also their use of a recorded message. I am filing a complaint now. I have been getting calls from this company for a better part of a year now! They also have used 304-445-6838 more recently, which only shows up as 'wireless caller". They are obviously up to NO GOOD! Ugh!

1-19-2011 Credit card company trying to sell me their card.
These ****** people have called quite a few times. So, I dialed *69, and got this number. Well, I tried to call back. I thought it had a strange ring to it. Never could get anybody.
Got several messages from listing "Customer Service". Finally answered call and pressed 1 to speak to live person; said she was from "Card Services" and wanted to lower my interest rate; asked if I owed over $4000; I questioned her about who she was with and how she could have an effect on my interest rate; said they mailed out letter 45 days ago and were following up with phone call; I told her to mail me info and I would not give her any more info...suddenly the phone line went dead! I looked up the number and apparently the listing is in Glendive MT. I am trying to find a way to report this scam!
The phone company that sells this company service should discontinue their service.
I've received several calls from this number over the last couple of months. They want to talk to me about my existing credit card account with them (I knew I didn't have one) but I ***g up. They left messages too but when I check messages it wants to automatically dial them back. I have to **** up and go back into my voicemail and delete w/o listening to prevent the service from calling them back. I have a few other family members and friends who are experiencing the same problems coming from this same phone number.
I have received calls from this number several times in the past few days......It comes in as "Customer Service" and automatically goes into the spiel regarding credit card interest rates. Mostly, we don't answer but did today........Almost immediately I ***g up....Wish the FCC or some other agency would get these people out of business !!!!!
Had the same experience as most. Obvious scam based on the language in the recorded intro. I wanted to find out what they were going to ask so I 'pressed 1.' The person answered "Card Services" and I asked "Card Services for what company/" He disconnected. Has to be an attempt to get your current CC number, exp. date and CCV code.
I have received numerous calls from this number: 406-948-8048 with are recording "Hello this is Rachel from credit card services, there's no problem with your card but if you'd like to reduce your interest rate...." I pressed the number to speak to a real person who himself attempted to sound like a recording and I asked him immediately what company he was calling from, with hesitation he said "Interest Rate Management". I asked to speak to his manager and he ***g up on me.
The call went like this, this is your credit card company. There is no current problem with yor account at this time. If you would like to lower your interest rate press1 now. A female answered and ask who was she speaking to? I gave my name and ask her why was she calling me and what credit card was she asking about? She replied yours, I then told her I knew this is a scam and I was quickly ***g up on!!
recorded message, no live person, no option during recorded s***ch to request being added to do not call list.
These people have called me twice today. They pretend to be from your bank, but they don't say which bank they are calling from. I finally answered the second call and played along by pressing the 1. I asked them which of my credit cards they were talking about and she said "Either your Mastercard or Visa, we can get you a better interest rate if your balance is over $5000". HINT!! They are not from your bank and the Customer Service caller ID is part of their scam.I told her that I was on the national as well as the state no call list. She told me, "We're calling you from India and we are exempt from the no call lists". Funny, she had a more southern accent than I do. I didn't know the US was exporting workers to India now.
Just called. I didn't answer. Recorded message said to press a number to lower my interest rate and to consider this my final notice. I do not have a loan or active credit cards.
This has be a scam caller. The callbot saidI had to respond right away to lower the rate on my credit card (press one, it's my last chance LOL). I pressed one, and then after the woman on the other end asked if I wanted to lower the rate on my card, I asked her which card she was referring to. The answer was, "your credit card." I next said Oh ok, this is a scam and the next thing you're going to ask for is my credit card number. She replied with "we already have your card information and if we wanted to do so****ing with it we would have already." Then she uttered some expletive I couldn't understand and ***g up in my face. I googled the number and got what I saw above -- from Glendive Montana. They called themselves Card Member Services and the caller ID said Visa****ist.
I suspect it was someone calling to offer a free gas card if I give them my bank account number. I have been getting these type calls lately. I don't have caller id but I was able to get this number by calling *69.
Call went so****ing like this: There are no problems with your VISA card. Press 1 to reduce your interest rates. Press 3 to be removed from the list. I have no Visa cards. I am sure that I would have been asked for my cc number if I had pressed 1.
Called my cell phone.
Easy tip to prevent a repeat call from the same number: pick-up the phone, don't say a word, they'll ****-up, and never call you a***n
I asked her to remove my phone number from their calling list and the girl ***g up on me. Real professional!
