They called today and I thought is was a local call. The computer voice ask for someone else but if I selected 2 they would remove our number off the list. It turns out this company has called before. They are collection company out of Jacksonville, FL. They did not believe I wasn't the person they were calling. The called admitted that they will call a***n but the phone number will be different. Therefore we cannot report them and it is completely legal
It's basically phone spam. I think it's a debt collector trying to match names. I get calls almost every day - the first mentioned a name with the same initials as mine. They won't leave me alone. 408 - 409 numbers are used by google voice, they're Campbell, CA numbers.
Calls every few weeks or so but doesn't leave message. I do not pick up. The "408-409" portion of the call apparently is a number combination available in the Campbell, CA area.
