They said they were from animal control and gave me a google verification code to send back. I didn’t trust it

Anonymous Person has been texting me after an event. Says secret admirer but I don't recall meeting anyone and they will not reveal who they are. S****ed asking a lot of personal questions I said I am not comfortable sharing that info. Very well spoken, articulate, might be a real person.
