Spammers Stink Fake Short Term or Payday Loan Scam Calls from the following area codes and numbers have all been reported to be scammers. These scammers use phony number and names to attempt to get****ential victims to send in money on fake loans that appear to be from legitimate sources. 1-408-905-0098, 713-931-3690, 713-931-3***, 713-936-3424, 713-893-1051, 281-404-4394, 512-686-4244, 210-401-3930, 979-639-7900, 779-400-0010, 817-400-1316 The names vary each time. These fraudsters have committed company identify theft a***nst a Federal Credit Union. Consumers targeted by the scam typically are looking for a payday or short term loan and search the Internet for****istance. They voluntarily place their personal information on these independent sites (not recommended) and then receive an email from one of the aliases. They say that you have been approved for a short term loan that is affiliated with companies that the scammer has no****ociation with whatsoever. Consumers who respond by telephone to the offer are then told that in order to receive the loan, they have to pay for either an upfront fee, taxes owed, processing fee, etc., in the form of a MoneyPak or Pre-paid credit card including Vanilla Network cards. Do not pay any upfront fees and **** up on them.

Said I was a major winner and had all kinds of prizes. I kept waiting for him requesting personal info but instead he said he would call tomorrow. LOL

They say there are from a legal department about a fraud to accompany that I don't know

Chi Town Woman They keep calling me and saying that they are from the sheriff's department and that I am going to be arrested if I don't call back. They claim that I have a payday loan that I never paid back. This is not true. Scammers big time.

This is a scam! They will take money out of your account I had to close my account. They deduct $99.49 beware

We recieved a call from this number at my place of business on June 7 at approx 4pm. The caller declined to identify himself or the organization he was calling on behalf of. We instructed him to add us to the do not call list, and to cease communication. He called back within minutes, still refusing to comply with the law and identify himself.

Kathy I received a call at work today from a David Banner from Harrison Law Firm indicating I had taken out a payday loan with Cash Advance. I did not. He indicated that do***ents had been sent to me, which were all faked.. He informed me that if I continue to refuse to pay, I would go to court. I told him to go ahead and take me to court as I had no intention of paying anything to a thief and scammer.I told him to stop calling me and I ***g up on him. I've had enough of this as it's been going on for over 6 months.
