Asked me to except a check and use the extra he would send in the check to pay the movers when they came for the item. It had all the hallmarks of the classic scam.

Texas State Trooper non-profit SCAM! Do not take call. Called my home, I let it ring then looked into #. I get 3-5 calls a day all claiming to be "non-profit" groups for one thing or another which is code for how they get around the DNC List. DNC does not work, just like a virus...it finds it's way in and spreads!
