This is Arbitron survey they were purchased by the Nielsen rating services. The phone repeatedly rings twice you answer it and no now wha is there. They are nuisances at conducting surveys and have found out my cell phone number. I finally spoke to someone and asked to be put on their Do Not Call list.

Call my MIL all time and she picked up and they wanted her social security number and other info about who lives there etc. If these are survey people why do they ask for such personal message. Thankfully my MIL is smart and told them to screw off! Unfortunately they continue to call her.

this is Arbitron. they likely are calling if you agreed to do a survey diary of some sort. they usually send you a servey with a couple of dollars, then promise more when you return it. very solid compqny. so far i have made 55 dollars with 3 surveys

Survey company for TV/radio ratings. As they are a phone survey company they are exempted from the DNC registry but if you answer and tell them to remove your name they should be able to put you on their internal DNC list

It's a tv and radio survey. I took the survey over the phone ( about 5 min) and they sent me ten dollars in the mail. Then they sent me another survey in the mail, I filled it out and they sent me twenty dollars.

They keep calling using different numbers, I have caller id, so when I see an unknown or unavalible with number I don't answer, and they don't leave message on my answering machine- it's very annoying

This would normally be a survey, but not in my case. Earlier this summer, Arbitron selected my family at random to keep individual diaries of what my household listens to on the radio for a week, starting this Thursday. Judging from the posts below, not many know that Arbitron is the company that generates the ratings of AM, FM, and TV programs (or used to as far as TV goes). The rates that advertisers pay for radio and TV commercials are determined from these ratings. When they called, I did not recognize their number, so I didn't answer. But I will call them back. We'll see what they are up to....

This ediot called me at 9:10 P M last night.Calls regularly I don't answer any calls I don't know but am getting fed up with it .I'm 71 yrs old an do not like being harresed by these calls. Hope someone gets them stopped soon.I think all these people needs jailed .

This company does not know when enough is enough! We agreed to participate in their survey, and have regretted it ever since. They have called us at least once every-other-day, and sometimes as much as 2-3 times in one day. My husband asked them last week to stop the calls and since I've gotten 4 more calls. Today I've asked them again to stop the calls.

This arbitron, inc. place calls my house 3 to 4 times a day. My number is on the do not call regsitry but they still continue to call. I have a newborn baby and they called after 9 pm (my time) one night and woke him up - that was the final straw! I answered, waited for whoever was on the other end to connect, told him to never call here again and that it was was WAY too late to be calling me. I asked if they were a telemarketer and he said it's a radio survey. They still continue to call 3 times a day, all hours. I wish I knew how to make them stop. I am ****ed!

It allows you to block up to 20 phone numbers as long as you have Caller ID. It rings once or twice then disconnects the call. The caller never hears anything. The readout on the phone and the "missed call" list shows "Call Blocked". Just make sure you let the phone ring once or twice to see if it's a blocked call or someone you want to talk to.
