My coller ID for Crisfield MD.  They probably figured I would answer if it were a physician calling.

It is the Leukemia Society, I called the number back and it gave me the option to have my number removed! Which I did...now lets wait and see how long they will take to remove it!!

I have received calls from various area codes, Va, Minn etc. All our Leukemia Society. I would never donate to them, mainly because of their call tactics. Fortunately most of these calls come while I'm at work, but they are still a nuisance.

Yes, charities are exempt from the "Do Not Call" registry. However, most reputable charities will honor your DNC request if you tell them. It doesn't do them any good to anger a****ential donor (or even a non-donor that might spread a bad word about them).

Frequent caller.  Never answer.

The LLC uses Infocision Telemarketing. They get a portion of any money you donate. I hate this abuse of MY time.

Call the number back and you will get an automated ma****e.  Press "1" and it will tell you to type your 10 digit number.  Once you do this, the caller states your number will be removed from the Leukemia telemarketing campaign.  It is that simple.  Lets hope it works and I just didn't confirm my phone number to another telemarker.  They say never respond back, but I am sick of 3-5 calls a week for months.But remember it is a great charity.  Just give locally.  Never give over the phone you just don't know who is taking the call.

I just got a call from this number; did not answer.Folks:  understand that charitable organizations are specifically exempted from the DNC requirements.  They may legally call you.

Will these people stop calling? No. Phone rings twice, I answer it, no one there.

Called yes****ay (04-22-2010) 1:58pm. Left no message. Based on feedback on this page it's probably some tele-stalkers hiding behind the cloak of charity-immunity from the do not call list looking to harass people a***n. Just gonna block it. Buh-bye.

There is no such charity as the "Leukemia Society." The "real" one is the "Leukemia AND Lymphoma Society." This one is fake. **** up and don't give them anything!

If it is the Leukemia Society, they are definitely using an annoying telemarketer to call. This same number has been used before in "extend your car warranty" scams and other dishonest schemes.I will never, ever a***n donate to ANY charity because once I did, they never stopped harassing me AND they sold my number to every other charity, and many scamming s***bags, who now call me multiple times a day. Too bad for those who are truly needy, the charities have destroyed my charitable urge.

It's the leukemia society back on the ***t for money.  I love this organization but they call from several numbers every day.  I get call from VA, MO, 800 Service, etc...   They must be using companies or volunteers to call anyone who has ever given money.  I lost a family member to this disease and I understand the  importance of funding.  I give when I can give.  This organization is beginning to annoy me.  I have asked them repeatedly to stop calling me.  I give locally and when I can.  I think they are using annoying telemarketing companies, NOT happy about that.

I receive at least 2 calls from this number daily.  Caller ID only says Cristfield, MD.

I just got a call from this company.  The caller ID said Leukemia Society.  I am also on the DNC list.  I was in the middle of a conversation with another person, so I did not answer.  The person I was talking with said that she gets calls from this organization a lot asking for clothing donations.  Her calls come from a Minnesota area code, though.

for the second time in two days, these people appeared on my caller ID..This time I answered, in my best Mandarin ****ese. Or maybe it was Greek.My experience has been after getting through to a non-English-speaking person. They generally mark my phone number off their list.

i called back and it said it was the leukemia/lymphoma society.we're on the do not call list and have not ever had anything to do with this company... i guess non profits are exempt from the dnc?

My caller I.D says the name of the company is Winners 4. I don't have a clue who they are , or what they want.If I don't know who it is I don't answer it.
