Anonymous This number called, and spoke in my native language (though I live in the US and use the same area code). They also sounded very similar to a close relative of mine. They claimed someone died and was crying and responding to my questions in a very incomprehensible manner. Called the actual person and confirmed that the said information was false. Total scam don’t entertain calls from this number,

Called himself "Brian." Extortionist who flirts on apps (this one was Grindr); asks you to share your number; and then sends you a background report with threats to expose your information. Told him he was an amateur and he could publish my information on the front page of "The New York Times." Amateur. I have nothing to hide and I'm unashamed. Oh. And I also gave him the number of Bob Schurmeier, head of the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, to whom I reported this extortion attempt.
