I answered and listened for a second then ***g up but I heard what sounded like static and that was it no one speaking

Says he is raising money for the police, fire depts., calls every two months in ******ia

This is a con. Someone is contacting people saying they are someone that person knows, and then asking them to purchase gift cards, promising reimbur*****t. Then they will request the codes on the cards and disappear.
