Claimed to be a debt collector for an account that I’ve never had (caller ID was a number in VA & I’m in CA) and needed to “verify” my information (full name, address, date of birth etc). I asked what information they had on this account and I would verify if it was correct or not, but of course they couldn’t do that and needed me to give it to them. I ***g up and blocked the number.

Asked for me... Said nothing... Man on other line sounded American or rather not outsourced to lower 3rd world countries. Listened in to background noise and then I heard typing. Been warned to say a word "YES" AFTER BEING ASKED YOUR NAME. IT CAN BE RECORDED AND USED A***NST YOU.

I keep getting calls from 434-331-3892, 434-331-3842, 434-331-3792. I block one number, and another similar one calls. When I called one of them right after receiving a call, I got a recording saying the number has been disconnected. Now BeenVerified can't track down a name****ociated with these numbers.
