I applied for a job on indeed. I get an email stating they would like to conduct an interview via Microsoft teams. This was a remote position. Everything seems legit till the very end they wanted me to deposit a check into my account for office equipment. And the check looks real , a payroll check thru Bank of America. I was to print it out and deposit it via mobile banking. That's when I seen a red flags jumping at me. They went as far as running a background check or or Pretended to they have a copy of my driver's license, social security card. My address only thing they didn't get is my banking information which I almost filled out the direct deposit slip and send it in but I needed to find find it. I did call the company that they were portraying to be and it was confirmed it was a scam. All over applying to jobs on indeed and career builder.
