Anonymous I applied for a job on indeed. I get an email stating they would like to conduct an interview via Microsoft teams. This was a remote position. Everything seems legit till the very end they wanted me to deposit a check into my account for office equipment. And the check looks real , a payroll check thru Bank of America. I was to print it out and deposit it via mobile banking. That's when I seen a red flags jumping at me. They went as far as running a background check or or Pretended to they have a copy of my driver's license, social security card. My address only thing they didn't get is my banking information which I almost filled out the direct deposit slip and send it in but I needed to find find it. I did call the company that they were portraying to be and it was confirmed it was a scam. All over applying to jobs on indeed and career builder.

This person texted me unsolicited that my bank information was on the dark web. He was. Supposedly saving me from having a boatload of financial heartache. Of course he was looking for a fee!! I don’t know him, don’t want to know him. As convenient as having financial information on the web is, I don’t need strangers “help” for a fee.
