It appears they have info about my references. They called my references?! In which they are not supposed to. This number called 7-7-2010 at my work. I tried to call it back and get "mailbox is full and cannot take any more messages? Looks like a scam to me. I am not liking they are calling my references! And they all stated it some Crime Prevention and needed to talk with me. So not too happy with these calls.

Says they are with the Dept of Crime Prevention and that I owe them money for a payday loan I never paid back. Called me at work and threatened to have a police car pick me up and "****** me downtown". They tried to get more info from me, but I ***g up. Female states her name as Nancy Jones and has an accent.

hey VICTIM it will continue until you **** at them and let they know that you know they are scammers and liars!! i have had several and the newest phone number is 443 333 1201 and its anna walker. such a witch she is.

Says he's with the Department of Crime Prevention. Says I took out a payday loan via the internet and never paid it back. Says the payday lender name was Payday Cash. I'm being investigated for "theft by deception" and some other bogus charges. Asked me if I had a lawyer. Tried to get me to verify my SSN and other personal info which he had and was correct. I could tell right away it was a scam. BE CAREFUL ABOUT THESE INTERNET PAYDAY LOAN COMPANIES -- APPARENTLY YOUR PERSONAL DATA ISN'T SAFE WITH THEM.

Thank you all for posting this about this phone number, I have just been victimized by the same foreigners, they used the same exact verbage on me and went through the whole spill. Before I found this site, I filed a local police report, called and placed a security on my banking, notified all the workers in my office of this and have called the Frisco police department and will file a harassment case with them as well. I am really relieved to see others who have posted to this site, please tell me, has anyone had iden***y theft from them? What really worries me is they had my social security number right. I did not confirm it to them, nor did I give them my attorneys name as requested, I would not confirm anything and it irritated them. When I called the number back I got a David Jones, Ironically the first guys name was Peter Johnson. Both were very heavy tongued foreigners.

they sent me a message saying that i owe them money but couldn't explain what it is for or when i supposely got the money

This s****ed with me this weekend and they just called my work.  I have found similar stories on complaintboard.com and one blogger said that FBI has received over 1000 complaints.

so this phone number 469 582 0387 is in California? they wont quit calling me. just report it to the folks you have listed above in your msg?

This so called company is a complete scam! They threaten you with being sued, jAil time, and court unless you immediately over the phone pay them using a debit or credit card.. If you're reading this you probably already know what they threaten but how scary is this?? They called me twice this week and I finally answered yes****ay.. I was so freaked out that it was legitimate for some strange reason until I read that it's happening all over.

I got this same phone call today ON MY CELL PHONE and the call was for the daughter of a friend of mine.  WTH?

i just got off the phone with Nancy Jones and she said the same thing to me a***n and i read the riot act to her. she was stumbling over her words and that last thing i said to her was you all are in deep trouble cuz all of us have reported you to the FTC and the local police in your area. they will find you.!

I received my first cal from these "scammers" yes****ay June 24, 2010 at 1:35 pm Eastern time.  The number displayed on my caller I.D. was Restricted.  The call back number was (469) 582-0387.  The person who left the message was "Samuel Lewis".  He stated that he was from the "Crime Prevention Unit" and I was in much "legal trouble" and facing "criminal charges" and I need to contact him immediately to resolve this issue.  First thing that did not seem legitimate to me was that he only addressed me by my first name (any "true" bill collector, law enforcement agency, or legal firm would address you professionally by stating BOTH your first and last name.  Furthermore, any legitimate organization is bound by law to state their purpose of the call.  This guy did neither).  Secondly, his deep Middle Eastern accent also raised suspsicion in my mind, when compared to his name... "Samuel Lewis".  Before returning this obvious fraudulent message, I did as much "free" research as I could about this phone number.  I found out that it is an unpublished landline based out of Frisco, TX and the phone provider is Tex-Link Communications.  After doing this, I politely returned the call and Mr. "David Lee" answers.  Another very "American name that does not coincide with the accent.  He asked who I was!! LOL.  I said, you tell me, you called me...  He said if you just give me your name, I can find out why you were contacted.  I said, how about you tell me the name of your company and the location...  He said that he is with the "Crime Prevention Unit".  I said that is not the name of a company, what is your company's name and address.  A***n he answered...  Crime Prevention Unit.  I said okay, I just want ot inform you that I know what you are up to and your better quit while you are ahead because I have filed a police report with the Frisco Police.  Right about then, he fumbles his words and says this call is being recorded and you will be arrested for violating federal law.  I said who are you going to arrest?  You can not even tell me who I am!  He said, I hope you enjoy your time downtown... lol.  Then he ***g up the phone and they tried calling me back three times this morning!  A***n I stated that everytime they call, I will contact the Frisco Police and file a report.  Also I contacted Tex-Link Comm and put through a request for them to block their number from calling mine.  If you have received a similar phone call, I urge you to call both Tex-Link at (210) 892-4100 and give them the number that has been contacting you and tell them that you want it blocked from calling you.  And contact the Frisco Police at (972) 292-6000 and file a report for harrassment.  The more people that file complaints and reports, the quicker that these people will be brought to justice and they will be the ones who have "cases" on them.

Have been receiving these calls to. Last week it was Mark Williams. This week it's Nancy Jones. Don't know how they get all our information but it's a total scam. If you receive these kind of calls, do not give in to their scam. They have collected thousands already from people who had no clue. If you hear from them, you should contact your states attourney's office and file a complaint. Do not respond to their calls.

THIS IS REDICULOUS IT NEEDS TO STOP....HELP!

I received a call this morning from an umknown caller, They had an Indain accsent as well, They said I have three counts of Criminal charges, I said who in the heck is this and he said Caly Johnson, I said okay why are you palying games with me I haven't commited any crime and please dont call me any more then I ***g up the phone. They called me backa and left me a message and said I will be picked up at work for this crime because I ***g up the phone. I called after I got off work the number they left on my voice mail was 469-582-0387. When I called back they sounded **** so I just ***g up the phone. This has to be a SCAM.

I receeived 6-8 call from this number 6/21/10 and 3-4 on my cell phone (now how did they get that?) from a guy named Roger Smith.  He said that he left several messages (which he did), but only got this voicemall instead (my home answering ma****e).  He then said that I seems like I'm trying to evade his phone calls and that if I don't call him back, or my retained attorney, I will be in a very big legal mess.  Then he has the f***ing nerve to tell me to have a blessed day and God bless!  Yeah, right!  I'd just love to call them back and tell them how much I enjoyed eating their cow last week!!

I received the same and I mean the SAME exact phone call. Stating the SAME exact thing. I recently called and filed a polcie report as well.

This Rick Parker and a David is from Dallas Texas.  He said he is from Crime Prevention.  He told me I had 3 accounts of criminal charges: 1) violation of bank regulation, 2) check fraud and 3) Theft by Deception.  He said they will send someone after me on Monday to arrest me or take me to court.  He said I took out a loan and the money was deposited to my account on Oct 8, 2009.  I went to a Personal Banker at my bank and she found NO tranactions (deposits) on that date!  Because "I never paid that loan back" (that I never recieved), They state I now owe $1000.  This "Rick Parker" and "David" know my address, my SS#, my employment address, employment name and friends contacts.  I am filing a police report today and gave them the name and telephone # (469)582-0387I also spoke to a contact at the State of Colorado Colorado Uniform Consumer Credit Code and the lady I spoke too had also googled there phone number and****ured me that it is a SCAM. She advised me to **** up and not answer anymore calls. She advised I also make a police report. She has had several complaints from a lot of people with the same issue.

Received numerous phone calls from them wanting to speak to one of my employees, same scam wanting money for a debt he didn't know about or didn't owe. I called them back told them it was a crime to call a government installation, but they have continued to call. They are being reported to Army CID.

if they give you the name of the payday company they say you owe money to-give them a call. they know about these scammers and want the phone numbers they are calling from. the payday company will call them and read them the riot act!!

got a call from nuber 469 582 0387 name is nancy jones. she says its important that i call her back. another scam!!  got calls from numbers 567 244 6051 jack wilson,567 248 2126 no name. some others too and all i did was apply for a refinancing on my car on line. SUCH SCAMMERS!

They called myself, grandmother and job reporting that I was part of a legal issue and needed to contact them immediately at this number. He had a very foreign accent and told me his name was Rick Parker. I am not ******... your name is not Rick Parker with that accent. When he called my work he released numerous amounts of information to a co-worker! This is not o**** I have filed a legal suit a***nst them for harrassment... bet they won't do it a***n!
