Real FF This is a solicitation call for support of the "Professional Firefighters of Georgia". The original sales pitch is a some-what realistic, voice reactive recording. After you agree to support their cause, the "caller" transfers you to the support center to verify your information and to send out your pledge packet to you. The personal info they had for me was wrong. I hadn't used the name they had on file in years and its certainly not connected to the phone number they called. The support center operator could not tell me where they got my info from nor when and how. So I got the info from him to verify the validity of their affiliation. The web address the operator gave me was wrong and the toll-free number (there was not a local number to give) went straight to a recording that asked me to leave my contact info and the reason I was calling and they would get back to me within 48 hours. I did a web search for the Professional Firefighters of Georgia and they do exist, it is the Ga division of the International****ociation of Firefighters. But the info I was given does not match the info on the official website. I don't know if this is a scam or not, but scams have been pulled off in the past in the name of IAFF and various fire departments/ fire fighters. I think I'm gonna call PFFG myself and see if this is real. There are just too many inconsistencies for me to not question it.
