I just got a new cell number and ever since I've had this number these people keep calling me sometimes 3 times a day. I found out that if you give them a warning to stop calling your number, and they don't comply you can file a lawsuit against them. I told the rep who was looking for the previous owner of my number to stop calling me she had the wrong person. I asked her for their address and she just said it was Wells Fargo and hung up on me. I'm going to find out where the area code is and get Wells Fargo's address for that area and file a small claims suit against them for five grand.

This number keeps on calling me. Odd days, sometimes even odd hours. Like at 6AM!! It's really annoying. I usually just let it ring, and let it go to voicemail. Obviously, like everyone else there's no voicemail.One day i just rejected the call and there was a voicemail. Interesting! Apparently, they're looking for a Bryan and that they're from Wells Fargo. It was also an automated call. First of all, i've had this number for years. No one has ever called for a Bryan, and secondly, how did Wells Fargo get my number? I was never a WF client. Ever. Not even car loans or students loans. I have nothing to do with Wells Fargo at all.They need to stop calling me!! What do i do to get them to stop calling? Should i call Wells Fargo themselves? Because it doesn't seem like they'd do anything about it if it's a scam. I don't know what to do!
This number calls both my home number and my wife's cell phone every frickin day; up to 8-10 times a day over the past 4 weeks. They called 3 times tonight over a 90 second period- They are obviously phishing for PII (personal identifiable information) from WF customers like you. Don't fall into the trap of answeing the phone. I have registerd a complaint with WF on their "official secure web site" since these bottom-feeders (503-404-2665) are using WF's name to conduct illegal activity.

It is Wells Fargo collections. I *do* have an account with WF and I noticed the music right away when I called however I don't have a loan/CC with them, and this is a new number and I have not bothered to update my account. BUT...we have had this number less than a month and apparently in my state they only shelve phone numbers for 14 days (ugh) and the people who used to have this are being harassed by various collection agencies. As I know it is not me and not my debt I simply call them back, tell them the situation and they are very nice about it. I think this recording when people pick up is because they probably have an auto-caller for some things - like when the computer senses someone pick up it then alerts a collections rep to pick up. I have never worked for a collections agency but hear that is how some do it.Also for THIS situation, you may get dropped into their main menu. When she had me on hold to take this # off that account, she told me the direct collection # to call if we got disconnected. It is 800.988.8019 - so if you have a new # and no WF account and suspect it is collections for the last phone # owner, just call them back! I know people talk s**t about Wells Fargo but you know what, I have had many banks over the years and they all suck in some way. Give them a chance :-)
They are calling at all times of the day, several times in a row, even. Today, Sunday morning, they even called my CELL PHONE and I never give out that number. I am getting really angry.
Have received numerous calls from this number, both home phone and cell phone. They do not leave a message. I have interacted with them before and they claim to be from Wells FArgo but then want YOU to give them your account number and/or social security number. They call a lot!
503-403-2265 has been calling my wifes cell phone for about a week, 2 times a day. I called the number back, and was greeted by a female saying.. "wells fargo card center, can I have your account number?" and I reply"NO you can not have my account number, but can you tell me why this phone number has been calling me over and over and over?"She replies "Can I get the number that is being called?"I reply "(xxx)xxx-xxxx"She says "Is there a Carrie Smith there?""Nope, there never has been a Carrie Smith at this number""I'll remove your name from the list." So we'll see if they really stop calling

just called the number back and a wells fargo person answered. I told them that somone keeps calling me from this number. And she asked me if I knew a person named Amber and I don't so she took my number off the list. Hope this works!!!

Got a call from this number the day after Thanksgiving - I don't know anyone in Portland so I Googled the number before calling it back and saw this site. Very creepy. They didn't leave a message but I got a separate call from a restricted number tonight. It was an automated machine saying the call was from Wells Fargo card services and to call them at a 1-800 number which I didn't list. Funny thing is, I just made a payment on my balance 5 hours ago.

I called it again tonight and instead of an automation I got a real person who said they were from wells fargo. He knew my balance and how much was currently due, so I did give the guy my info as suspicious as it seemed. He claimed that the payment I made yesterday wasnt showing and arranged to make payment over the phone (without asking for my checking account info). Hugely skeptical after this and fed up, I called the 800 number on the back of my Wells credit card and got a legit Wells Fargo call center who looked it up and told me they had record of calls made to me under the 503 number and assured me it wasnt a fake. Apparently it's an automated computer system making the calls which is why it calls so often, and as of June 2007 it's no longer illegal to make calls on Sundays. One last weird thing though - when I talked to the woman at the WF credit card number, she said it showed a pending card payment - the amount Id paid yesterday...when the 503 man minutes earlier said there wasnt one.

this stupid number has been calling for the passed week. all hours of the day no one is there when i answer and when i try to call back to see who it was a mailbox recording says the mailbox is full. i hate it and want it to stop! any suggestions??? is it something i should be worried about?
I called Wells Fargo and told them of my concerns and the other reports that I have seen in this site and I was told they don't have any number. I was also told there was nothing they can do. So my personel and businees has moved to a bank that cares about my concerns - Washington Mutal!

Hi, i'm getting the same calls. first they called one every two days and now they are calling 2-3 times a day. i just called wellsfargo service. hey took down my comments and information and i also gave them this number 503-403-2665. whoever this is hasn't touched my account (yet). i think i'll just have to cancel my service with wellsfargo. has anyone heard from a wellsfargo rep about this being a fraud?
The first two times they called, there was no answer, so on the next four or five calls, I didn't bother to pick up. I tried calling them back and got a recording that said "Wells Fargo card services." Since I was suspicious that I was getting a call from a Portland area code, I checked my WF account online and saw that my credit card payment didn't go through last month (??) and my payment that was due two and a half weeks ago was overdue. I just paid the bill online, so here's hoping they don't try to call AGAIN/

Called 6 times in 3 days. I never pick up. Read somewhere else online that they say they're Wells fargo and to give your credit card number. Don't answer!
So far they've called my cell 3 times yesterday and once this morning. Strange.

They keep calling me, and I do not know why. Late in the evenings, and EVEN SUNDAYS....I'm about to turn them in to the FCC, for first calling my cell phone, and second, calling out of legal collection hours.
