Woman called looking for "x". I told her I would have to check our records and if she was interested in verifying employment, she should send us a fax.  She ***g up.  I checked caller id and called her back.  I asked what business she was with, but she would not tell me and demanded to know if I was the person she just spoke to. I said yes, and asked her to remove our number from her call list.  She shouted "I don't have to do that!" and ***g up on me a***n. I called back a***n.  She asked if I was the owner of the business and I said "Yes, and you have to honor my request to remove this number from your list!" She ***g up a***n. I called back and another woman answered the phone.  A***n I asked what company this was.  This woman said "Certified Bureau."  I asked this woman to remove our number from their list.  She said "we don't have a list."  (smart a**) I told her that this number was not a valid contact number, and they would not be able to reach that person even IF they kept calling.  I offered to give them our fax number if they wanted to verify employment, but I don't think she wrote it down. (Duh...guess they don't want it that bad.)  I am seriously thinking about keeping one of those whistles by my phone, because I am sick and tired of all these rude ****s from CALL CENTERS who never learned any manners.

After be plagued by calls from First Allied Funding, I finally am off their list.  Be polite, and talk to them, as though you wanted to use their services.  I would suggest using a bogus name and email as I did.  When they asked me about my business accepting credit cards, I told them the truth, I've had 1 request in 8 years of business.  They were surprised, and reaffirmed that I do not accept credit cards.  A business that does not accept credit cards is of no interest to them.  I've not heard from them now in nearly 2 months!
