i wonder if this isn't the account my ex roommate set up. They didn't have my married name, and it was set up in the same state, a few towns over from where he grew up. It was only a couple of ***dred dollars and hasn't affected my ability to get car loans, apartment leases, or a condo loan at one point, so I don't worry about it.

They just called for the 3rd time. Different number saying this isn't a soliciting call they are looking for location for legal matters on a loan I never took. I just pulled my credit yes****ay and there was nothing about a past due bill for a payday loan.

Asking for location information . I don't think so! Lol scammers I say

calling me saying it is important that I call them bavk

Idiots!!

Received 2 calls, and they repeated a social security number that wasn't mine. I told them not to call or I was going to retain an attorney for harrassment.

Received a call from this number, ignored it.  They stayed on long enough to **** up on my voicemail. (Of course using cell phone time as a result).

Idiot called from this number, threatening legal action over a payday loan I never took. ***g up on him, and he called back. We did this dance 10 or 15 times, until I finally just let him sit silently on the phone. Late-night callback goes to voicemail for "AVRS" or some nonsense. Filed FTC complaint, and had the number blocked.Similar situation happened about a year ago. They're using my maiden name, and states I've lived in before I moved here. Obviously a scam.
