I believe that this number is legitimate for Dunn & ***dstreet. I had reported some information about my business through another phone number 866-594-2464 for D&B. I was told that someone from D&B would contact me to verify that information. The caller id# was 512-795-***9, the call back number was 866-594-2464, Ext-43003. I checked both those numbers on this site. Most contributors identified the caller or message as being from D&B. Most with cautious enough statements to make me su****ious also. When I did return their call at the 866# the person was able to validate the confidential information that I had given to the rep that I talked to through the number above also listed on their web site.

Conspi**** theories aside, this is probably a true company poorly representing D&B.Whether a fraud or legitimate this is sad. If D&B has resorted to not only funnel outsourced calls through their Texas number to hide they are outsourcing, but is to cheap to pay for people that can speak English, the company is not long to survive and should have a low D&B rating.The guy called me on my personal Cell phone. Seriously, I could only understand every 3rd word he said. Even if he was from D&B, I don’t know what restrictions there are from taking information out of their India workplace and selling it to some iden***y fraud friend. Sure this could happen in the US, but at least we could hold someone accountable for their crimes.Long ago D&B was the major credit report for businesses and actually verified their information to be worth what they charge to sell it. Then they s****ed sending out questionnaires 15 years ago which I (with humor) told them I netted 30 million a year. Without checking how big a lie I told them, they gave me the top rating for my newly opened business. Seems now you only need to verbally lie to them to get the top rating.****uming the non English person they hire can put this information down.

I received this call too and called the D&B Customer service number at 800.234.3867 which is listed on their website.  They verified that this was their outsourced verification call center and that the number is legit.  Sounded shady at first though!

Have received 4 calls today on my cell phone from this #, but a message was left only the first time. A man with a heavy Indian accent claiming to be from D&B. I was highly su****ious and did research online and found these posts.  I've blocked the # from my cell phone but am concerned because he mentioned by legal company name, but I operate with a DBA.

I recieved a call from this phone number. The lady had a thick oriental accent and i could barely understand her. She did not say what company she was calling with but insisted she was doing a credit check on behalf of one of our lenders.  I refused to even give her my name. She kept ****arding me with questions (half of which I could not understand) I finally told her I could not understand her so continuing the conversation would be pointless. I ***g up on her. She proceeded to call me back over and over refusing to leave a message on my answering ma****e, Fed up I took my phone off the hook for an hour.

I just got the same call a Indian speaking man seemed to know all about me and my business. He said that he was from Dunn and ***dstreet. This call was recieved on my cell phone. I live in a very small town with a very small business. What would Dunn and ***dstreet want with me, I have done some sear****g and I still don't know who this is that called me. Does anyone?

Today I got a call from an Indian guy whose name "Shawn".  He said that he's from D&B.  Later, he gave me his number 1 800 498 0170 ext 43038 while my caller ID shown as 512-795-***9.  When I Google "1-800-498-0170", below site got the hit.  http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-800-498-0170/2After I read the details on the above link and this site, I found out that some scam activities might be related to these number 1-800-498-0170 & 512-795-***9.Please be careful.

Got this call at work one day. THe man on the phone said that his name is Remmy?? and was confirming our business address. He was very rude so i put him on hold got my boss on the phone, he woulndt give out his last name and said he was a "third person"

BEWARE! Phishing call! Got a call on my cell phone. A lady with a heavy India accent asked if I knew/ could provide information on [name of a company I previously worked for]. I asked her to identify herself and tell me why she was inquiring. She said she was calling on behalf of 'a****ential customer who needed to get in contact with the company'. I asked her 'what type of customer?' and she said it was an insurance company. She got pushy and asked if I know how about this company or not - well, this was clearly not a valid inquiry so I said I was not going to give out information. She then asked if the company was located at [she rattled off my personal address!!!]. I ***g up.

Got a call from this number, marketing scheme. Google Dun & ***dstreet and you will probably see your business info available to the public with details for a fee. Very Rude must make good money off selling your info! Call back # 888-239-5546 ext. 8123 Jancy John. There is another website like this one with more complaints.

I really don't care if it is Dunn and ***dstreet calling, I don't give out personal info, period.

A women called from this number saying to be from D&B (dunn and ***dstreet) the number source from Austin,Tx. Haven't got a chance to call back yet,but she left toll free number of 1-800-498-0170. This is a company that verifies/provide, business credit/information for owners.

This same thing happened to me. They have called at least 10 times but its always while i am work so i have never answered. The voicemail always pics up as DMV also in austin, tx. I have yet to figure who they are..now there was the very 1st incence when i called them back a male asked if i owned a busines..i said no he said they probably called the wrong #, that was 9 calls ago. I called them after they called 2 times today and told them to remove my # on a voicemail and i have since gotten 3 calls.

I receive a call a few hours ago from someone who was very aggressive in trying to obtain information about the company.  Su****ious, I declined to give any information and requested that they send an email so that I can validate the sender's address.After ****ing up, I went to Dunn and ***dstreet's website and emailed their support team to ask about the number.  After a few emails, they confirmed that the number is indeed them.I just thought I'd pass this along to everyone.  I don't agree with their tactics, and finally replied to alert them that the number they called has been on the Do Not Call list for some time, but at least you can be****ured that it really is DnB.

this number called - didn't answer - when i called back it was the answering ma****e which stated that they were the state DMV.  This number shows up from Austin, TX
