Caller ID said Dun ***dstreet, and person with accent stated she wanted to update business info. Dun & ***dstreet was legit biz, but from other comments, apparently this is 3d party whom D&B did NOT contract to get info - wonder who they are really working for. I said I would take message, and who should I call - and was told

Dun & ***dstreet calling to update your business info and then sell you their services. If you call back the automated system will let you remove your phone number from their list.

No message, others say it is a call center

Got several calls from this company the past week. They left messages on my voice mail which I could hardly understand whom or why they were calling I called them back last week got a voice mail and I told them to stop calling *****ey called back this morning and the person stated that he was from D&B he had stated that a company interested in doing business with our company had asked about our company and was wondering if I had time to answer some questions. I asked him who the company was that was asking about our company and he said that unfortunately he did not have that information in front of him. I then told him when you can tell me who is asking about our company I will then think about answering your questions and I ***g up.The number that called me was 512-795-***9The number they left on my voice mail to call back was 800-498-0170 ext.46397

Got a call from a lady, with what seemed a HEAVY asian accent, who said she was updating dunn and ***dstreet. she already knew our address and how many people work here. when she wanted email accounts and i would not give them to her...she immediately said have a nice day and ***g up.  curious.

Dun ***dstreet called a Cr**** Line - unlisted, unpublished number!!!!  Stated "updating files, is this a shelter, group home?" --- was advised to call back and speak to our Director.  Accent was so STRONG could barely understand what he was saying. Never indicated WHO (company, etc.) he was calling for......

Keep getting calls from Dun ***dstreet.  Finally answered today and the female asked me what I was wearing, boxers or briefs.  Taken back, I asked what this was call was about and she said she wanted to take just a minute to ask some questions for a survey.  Thinking this was as setup to talk *****, I ***g up.  Don't answer these calls.Mike Mitchell Camden, NJ

Finally answered their call after receiving multiple calls. I had to ask the female caller 3 times to clarify why she was calling. Finally she said they collect database information from us and use it for other agencies including govermental agencies. She tried 3 times to say "your current address is......" and gave me an address that i lived at over 7 years ago. All of our "company" information  is listed in public records, address included. ~~I just ***g up. Any information they are seaking that is legitimately being requested could be located by looking up our phone number.   Can't trust anyone these days that is asking for personal info over the phone.

I got the call from this number said he is from FDA and wanted to varify the company information. I did not provide info. Then he said "thank you madam". - clearly, IT IS SCAM!!!

They ask a few questions.Who is your CEO (name)? I gave the worng name, heheHow many employees? Revenue? Told them I didnt know.email? Gave them the company email.They also wanted to know if it was a corporation...I think I amy be missing one question. But, with the above information no boday can scam or anything. PLus they already had the address of the business. Which they probably have more info when they call your phone number in the first place.Just pretend you are answering questions and give them bogus info :)

I got a call from this number and answered the phone only to get a recording saying they were calling from Dunn & ***dstreet to verify business information, but "all of our agents are busy right now and can't take your call.  We will be calling you a***n soon"Go figure - they called me to tell me they were too busy to talk to me!!!!  Now when I see a call from Austin, TX I don't bother to answer.  They never leave a message.

Do not call 814-445-7886.  This is a government phone line.  They called and ***g up when I answered.

Received a phone call from 512-795-7888.  Stated they were doing there annual call of updating my D&B account.  Told him I've never recalled D&B updating over the phone.  He pretented he couldn't hear me. I ***g the phone up.....

Every day, sometimes 4 times a day, number calls in and does not leave a voicemail. Each time I get a 8 second silent "message", no computer voice, no person. My VM system will not create a blank message if someone just ****s up so it appears to be an autodialer that does not active with my greeting.

Somebody from this phone number has called our switchboard about three times a day for over a week trying to get through to CFO office for general information about our company (which is already available on our website). They refuse to leave a voicemail and I refuse to answer the call whenever it comes in. Our company policy does not allow us to supply information over the phone regarding corporate executives, especially since it's already public information on the web.

This number was left on my phone's caller ID with no message. I was curious about the number so I googled it and found out this has happened to others and was thought to be a scam or so****ing. The message said I should report this if this person calls. I also have an unlisted number.

Just got a call from this number asking the same questions. I called it back and got a recording saying it was D&B. I called D&B's 800 number on their website and they verified that it IS D&B's Austin, Texas office. I don't like giving info over the phone either but it is NOT a bogus company it is actually D&B.

Just received a call from this same caller ID at my business phone number.  No response when I answered.

Don't ever give these people or anyone else ANY business or other information over the phone.  Legitimate D&B requests will come in writing via US mail.

we have received numerous calls from this number claiming to be from "Dunn & ***dstreet" looking to update our information for their directory. I informed the person that I can not give them any information over the phone and any requests must be made in writing and ***g up on them.

Received call from this number, caller ID: Call Center, TX.  Identified as "Celeste" and they were updating Dunn & ***dstreet info.  I told her we didn't give information over the phone.

I just called the above number back, and they are a call center. They looked up the number, 512-795-7888 and said it belonged to Dun & ***dstreet and they were looking to update their information about my business. I asked if he had any other number to contact them, and he replied "no sir I do not".Apparently, D&B uses this Call Center to do their database updates.

I received a call from a probable Asian sounding person - the call ID said Dun ***dstreet. Since I have only had this phone number several months and it is both unlisted and non-published - I suspect this might either be an attempted scam or simply a wrong number. The person calling could not give me a name of the person they wished to speck with, however.I could not get enough information as to what the person wanted, except he would say: "can I have a minute of your time". His accent was horrible and not understandable due to the accent & my having a hearing loss.
