Leave a CommentYou work for those *******s! Only they would write so****ing like this!
I actually work for the company and would just like to clear some things up:Windle-Florida law prohibits debt collectors from engaging in unreasonable contact with third parties (including employers) about the debtor...so yeah you were right on that but the collectors speak with so many people they forget about that law ha but they can easily get your number from a site called Accurint. (Dont worry everything is confidential and Sallie Mae pays a **** load to have access) it list the first 5 of ur SSN, current and previous addresses, phone numbers, if youre deceased or living, and theres an option to search for neighbors numbers too along with alot of other info.( If an employee logs onto the site at home or anywhere else but work theyll be terminated and i think even fined on the spot) Bottom line, they're just trying to do their job because you get incentives on how much you collect. If you dont want them to call anymore TELL THEM THAT and theyll make a note on the account to cease communication with that number. If the numbers are already in the account we dont really know where they come from. They couldve been entered in by the city for all we know.Lucky Lady-how was that a threat? that collector was just being cut and dry and straight to the point. Were told to be that way so were not wasting time. Youre either gonna pay or youre not. if not, buh-bye.Judy- its not a scam. Were a ***nch off Sallie Mae, its official. We're not to disclose our companies name unless asked. There's really no reason to feel weird about disclosing any info because its in front of us anyway (yes even ur full SSN) but everything is very confidential. All papers with personal info on them are locked up or discarded and computers are locked EVERY time you leave your desk. The papers go into locked up garbage cans with little slots to slide the paper in...then a truck comes to pick up the garbage cans and dumps the paper in a shredder while at the GRC building.
they never stop callin
I just got off the phone with them. I called them back after numerous calls from them to my phone, but no voice mail messages. They identified themselves. I spoke to Duane, who then passed me to his manager David. They are a loan collection agency for Sallie Mae and collect payments on the Federal Stafford Loans. They gave me the following information to check the loan holders of all my student loans. I have not done it yet, but they gave me this website:www.loanpaymentsolutions.orgTheir company website is:www.generalrevenuecorporation.comAnd then they gave me their toll free number, which is:877.320.7474They were actually very helpful and explained a number of the different consolidation options that they offer. And they were actually looking for me when they called, so I didn't get any of the weirdness that I read in earlier posts. They did want me to provide some references before they sent me the consolidation loan packet, but I refused and told them I would not give out such information over the phone but would be happy to include it in my loan packet if I could verify that it's legitimate. I did think that was weird, but otherwise they seemed fairly honest.
They call at least 2 times a month asking for a man. We tell them no one here by that name ., they just **** upThank you Judy for finding out where they are located.I will be reporting them

I have spoken to the Ohio State Attorney General PERSONALLY about this company. Mr. Cordway is going to speak with this company and their business practices. Let's see how long they keep their govt contracts! Bye Bye General Rev have fun when the state s****s their investigation of your company! I see job losses in the future of this company.
Bobby do you really work there? If so your company is a scam and I see a class action lawsuit being brought upon predatory thieves like this.
First call last week at work. When I answered, the person did not identify themselves, simply asked, "who do I call to garnish your salary?" I didn't even identify myself either. Who were they calling for? Anyway, they're calling back every day now and I've sent them a fax telling them to cease and desist immediately. Doesn't matter who they're calling for, threats are illegal in the collection arena.
I really think this company is fraudulet. The workers can not even tell you information about their company. They are well trained to keep secrets.
PLEASE ANSWER THE PHONE WHEN WE CALL, WE JUST NEED HELP LOCATING PEOPLE AND THAT IS IT
I got 3 calls from the number this morning asking if I was in the Airforce. I told the fellow I was never was in the military ( as I never had been). Then He said he had the wrong number, 1 hour later a female called me and asked if I ever went to school in Indiana, and I said no(never went to school in Indiana) and then she stated that she was looking for a person with my same name.I asked how she got my number and just ***g up on me.
Called at 9:30 am or so, asked for me by name, then asked if I knew my neighbor R. Told him I didn't, he ***g up. Called back next week, same thing. Googled number - came back to an office at General Revenue Corporation, Debt Management Solution. Third week, called at 8:30 am. I asked who he was and how did he get my number. He said he really needed to get in touch with R about an "exciting offer" (probably so****ing on the order of "How you can pay back your loan without getting your legs broken!") Asked a***n how he got my number and was told it was "given to him." "BY WHOM?" No answer. Said I thought it was illegal for collection agencies to call the neighbors (it is in FL). He got huffy, said they were "an educational foundation." I said, "You're a student loan collection agency." He got paranoid, wanted to know how I knew who they were. "Well, DUH! Caller ID!" Funny, but haven't heard from them since.
