I'm no great expert, but from some friends and acquaintances who know more than I -- apparently some call centers have systems which dial, say, five (5) or so numbers simultaneously, and the person there will take the one where somebody answers "live," with others going to voice mail.  Hawk a bunch of different stuff (health care, mortgage reduction, credit card reduction, etc.) none of which could be of quality, and the CSR calling is a minimum-wager, maybe with a GED, who knows nothing except to read a written script (and probably does that badly), and is in a job where tenure can be a day-and-a-half, and where somebody who has been there a week or so is a "old-timer."  Just a lot of useless ****, representing the negative side of today's technology.

I live in VA and they called someone in NJ whom i have only talked to once and never meet trying to get info on me for an investigation. The person who took the call doesn't remember what the name of the company was that called. Does anyone Know the name of company?
