got a call from this number; they stated they were running a promotion thru my LL Bean card for good standing customers; they offering a free gas card and then good promotion for magazine that you could stop at any time; my biggest concern was that I didn't give them all of my info!!! I only verified the last four digits of my LL Bean card and my zip code; that was one of the reasons I thought it was a legitimate call & not a scam!!!  they charged my account and luckily LL Bean intercepted it!   my concern was that they already had the rest of my info to process everything!!!!!!

Robert- Mine sounds EXACTLY like yours but no gas card mention, but yes I've gone to shell...problem is see below-Got called on 2/23/2010 at 9:43am and 8:03pm, didn't pick up- they left no message. Then at 8:38pm I picked up to make this stop, they said from a 'Marketing Company' in the 'Order Confirmation Department' and new my FULL NAME and Last 4 digits of my credit card (so they thought)- problem was that I closed that card OVER 6 MONTHS AGO!!!!!!!!!! And had actually had a problem with a scam with that account causing me to close it. The caller said the company I have made a purchase with would like to send me $120 in coupons in the mail if I provide address and answer questions....thats when I ***g up laughing.Everyone that gets this....report to your FBI local office: http://www.fbi.gov/contact/fo/fo.htm

From my posting above, the only thing I have done differently this whole year, is that I got gas from a Shell Gasoline Station.  All my other charges, repeat month after month and this charge happen 2 days before I s****ed to get these phone calls.  Does anyone else get gas from Shell?

I received 7 calls in the last 3 days from this number.  I finally answered and the guy knew my name and the last 4 digits of my credit card number.  He said that they were going to send me information and a $120 gas card because I spend money on a product they sell. I told them "no thanks, I am not interested" and he said "I am not asking if you are interested, you are getting this cause you spend money."  I immediately ***g up!

Got many calls---caller ID says "Gen Operations". Got sick of it and finally called back, thinking I could get on their Do not call list.  They asked the number that they had called.  I probably made a mistake and gave it to them.  The recording promptly said, "Thank you, goodbye" .

I just star receiving phone calls from this number, I dondt answer but they dont leave a message.

They have called about 4-5 a day on my cellphone s****ing from 8 am until 9 pm for the last 2 days.  Today is a Sa****ay and they still will not stop.  No message is left, and they tend to **** up if I attempt to answer.  I think I may just add them to my blocked list of numbers on verizon...

A "courtesy call" to verify shipment of my order. If the order has arrived press 1. If it has not arrived press 2. No order description............. No company name.............. just me on the other end being prodded to push digits to authorize................. sometinng. Red blooded Americans call this HORSE****.

They keep calling the hubs cell phone and every time he answers, they **** up immediately. He's called back and it's an answering ma****e for a business saying they are trying to verify order information. he always leaves a f***ed up message but they keep calling.

I got a call from this number and they tried to get info out of my kids she about our address. When my wife got on the phone, they ***g up. Told my daughter, that they were sending us a free gas card and needed to verify the address, she brought the phone to me and they ***g up.

SCAM!! Don't give them any info!

I got a call too, 2ce from this number.  Said I was getting free gas cards in the mail.  Tried to verify my address....figured it was a scam and just ***g up.  Won't pick up this call a***n.
