New York State Emergency Alert System. Not spam

Obama spammer.

It says "NY Alert." They want to install a free home security system. Just put a sign in the front yard.

This number belongs to the State University of New York's (SUNY) Alert System. It seems to be hacked as it is dialing non-students and numbers around the nation. I have filed a complaint with the FCC and also with SUNY. Suggest you do the same. http://www.suny.edu/launchnyalert/FAQNYAlert.cfm

I got a call and an email at the same time from suny plattsburgh...­.apparently its part of a test for emergency notification procedures.

got a call from "NY Alert" asking me to call this number to obtain my message. Sounds like a company looking for people who answer their phones so they can sell numbers to telemarketers.

I got two calls this morning -- 9:12 and 9:18 am. Called them back and got an pre-recorded message saying that they were NY Alert and then got disconnected.

They called me 5 times today. its says NY Alert on the caller id

do not need or want any information from this group - stop calling.

I recieved 3 calls from this number Friday December 1th 2009 between 4:50 and 5:10 p.m.

Someone from this number has called me three times thus far, I'm reluctant to answer because I have no idea who it is. Is this a telemarketing number?

Received several calls early this morning from this number. No idea who's number it is.

this call is a new york alert message...letting you know about a phone intertpt. problem in Broome County.  I get these calls all the time for areas i do not live in.  you can cancel you phone number from the system.  nothing like being woken up at midnight to hear that a county no where near yours....has no phone service!
